[2.4 Video Guide] Inquisitor/Elementalist's Ice Nova SHATTER Crit Build! [HC/SC Viable]

Hey LiftingNerd, been a follower of yours for a while, but never really posted. You have great guides!
I'm currently running this build in standard, and I just hit lvl 70 in Merciless. My ES is ~1500 and life ~3100. Max resists (23% chaos), and 22% block chance. Packs die ridiculously fast with the setup you put together for us. My main problem is that I've hit a wall. I can't kill Izaro in cruel. My single target DPS is ~34k with 4 power charges, so I can burn him down relatively quickly if I get a chance to. I can make it to the 3rd fight, then I just get wrecked. His AoE attacks wipe out my ES so fast I hardly have a chance to regen to get more attacks in, and then I just die with no ES. I know you stated this is a problem with the build in the video guide, so can you recommend anything to help with this fight? The only defense layer I'm missing is the CWDT + Immortal call setup, which I'm working on setting up asap, I'm just having a difficult time getting good ES gear with 4L - RRRR for it. Thanks mate! " I know exactly what you're talking about. I'm currently at lvl89 with this build and the main problem is, it seems nearly impossible to kill bosses in higher maps (Izaro is just like that) without dying over and over again. Well he said, that you can't freeze bosses and you should use Flame Surge for that, but Flame Surge still seems a bit to weak for that... Currently I'm already considering to retire with this char. it doesn't seem like this Build is able to go much further. EDIT: Finally reached Level 90. I don't think it's worth going further with this. If someone reached higher Levels and made more progress with this build, pls let me know. " I was finally able to beat Izaro. Getting the CWDT + immortal cry up was a HUGE help with that. And with my 34k DPS on Flame surge (+ burning him with traps) I was able to smash him. Granted I was ~15 levels above him. As far as taking him down in Merciless... I don't think i'll ever be able to make it that far. Sitting at lvl 74 right now, and I smash my way through tier 4-5 maps, and just skip most bosses because I'll just get murdered. Still a fun build though, and I can only imagine how fast it must become once you get the next two ascendancy points for that tasty 30% Cast/Attack speed! |

Hi!
I've been trying this build with my SC character in breach league, and I just can't sustain ES with just Zealot Oath in addition to Mind over Matter, and I got so many kills running out of ES to cast Ice nova or flame surge. so I tried switching Zealot Oath to Ghost Reaver, then I changed my assassin's mark curse to warlord's mark, so I can both sustain ES with far less effort and create endurance charges to keep up my CWDT+immortal call setup. Moreover, I use PCOC in my 5L chest armour. (last change, switched from stome golem to lightining golem) This change seems to work fine, do you think it might work till late game? |
