[2.6] The Curse Whisperer - Tri-Curse CI Whispering Ice Elementalist - Viable for Everything
" There are 5 different areas there. Some of them do some weird stuff that I don't quite understand. I skipped the Talisman league and don't know Rigwald well. The 5 areas are randomized in each instance, you don't know which one you get where. Rigwald always starts in the center though. If you don't kill him quickly he can teleport to a different area at random. There is one area that should be avoided: it pops a large green circle on the ground that chases you, it's a massive phys degen. If that happens to be the center area (1/5 chance) - bad luck, try to lure Rigwald elsewhere. But fighting him in that area is a really bad idea. All other areas seem to be ok. Some spawn adds that are very useful as additional sources of leech. Rigwald himself seems to do only phys dmg. His regular melee is irrelevant. His barrage of wolves attack can also be easily outleeched. The only trouble is when he turns into the wolf. That thing hits super hard and fast, and applies massive bleeding. I treat him like the Chimera fog stage: bring 2x Granite and 2x Basalt and an anti-bleed flask. When he turns into the wolf, pop those and re-Fortify. Do not do Dark Forest with Vulnerability, monster/boss speed or boss damage mods. At least until you are very well geared. |

" I've just reached the Shaper in the league on my Inquisitor (I started only 2 weeks ago after finishing all new content in Standard first). Going to try and kill him tonight. PoI is really helpful since all his damage is cold. I use the 'Uber Atziri' setup where WM aura is replaced with a Purity while all 3 curses are delegated to the Orb: - replace Ball Lightning with Orb of Storms - replace CWDT in the curse link with WM - run a Purity aura for the element you need extra protection from - cast Orb of Storms near the target to apply all 3 curses at once (Orb - CoH - curses) I've only used that for Uber Atziri before, but now it's very good against the Shaper (PoI), Phoenix (PoF), Minotaur with super tough mods (PoL). PoF or PoL can be run easily from the helmet where you get a red and a blue socket freed up by WM+Blasphemy. PoI requires a spare helmet with BBGG (put AA into the other green socket for more mana efficiency). AA is not needed against the Shaper himself but you get to kill 4 random bosses and some trash. I'm currently working on the best strat for the Shaper on a character that doesn't have godly Standard gear (e.g. his Teleport Slam does about 10k damage, but I only have 8.5k ES in the league). A combination of part-facetanking and part-dodging should work the best I think. Of course there will be new videos once I get that down to science. My 1st kill was very noobish, I've only seen the fight a couple times before that. " Going for +1 Astra while your other items still need improvement is a mistake. It's extremely rare, extremely expensive, and it's a luxury upgrade. Don't waste your currency on it until you really have nothing major to get elsewhere. Don't count on getting a +1 Astra any time soon. I got one in a league where it was raining cheap uniques (Perandus). I didn't get one in the next league where it was still cheap (Prophecy) despite making about 50 attempts. I don't have one in the Essence league either and don't plan on getting one there. Phoenix is very easy with the PoF setup described above. Don't forget to kill the adds, pop Orb and re-Fortify often. Hydra is a very dynamic fight, she moves a lot (so a setup with PoI wouldn't work too well because she'd constantly run out of the Orb range and you'd have to waste too much time popping orbs), but her bow attacks are very slow and can be easily dodged. Just don't do it with any mods that slow you down (TC, chilled ground, etc). Last edited by Kelvynn#6607 on Sep 29, 2016, 2:36:34 PM

Well, sadly just ripped doing Uber Izaro! Was fun while it lasted. Wanted to farm Uber lab, did 8 runs with the good layout today. Got too greedy trying to get the extra key from keeping all the guardians alive and kiting Izaro to the corner. Got hit by the sweeping slash, and didn't logout, so got hit again and died.
What I get for being greedy and doing so while sleepy. |

" I tried a 5% Emperor's Wit back in 2.2 on my Scion which has much higher Int than the Witch. And even on the Scion it was a downgrade from a 48% Izaro. Emperor's Mastery goes up to 7% so that may be a little better than Izaro's. On the Scion. Maybe even on the Witch. But not by much. And the price tag on that thing... that's too much for a minor upgrade. The people who farm it (or rather, THE person who wins it every single day) can stick it. I'm not a fan of the design that lets 1 person monopolize an item and deny the entire playerbase access to it unless everybody pays him. So I'm not going to include anything like that in my build. " Dang that sucks! Exactly how I ripped my last character. Sleepy and greedy in a monster lvl 80 hallowed ground. https://getyarn.io/yarn-clip/988f3369-4b68-4eb9-bc0e-edfce4c3c950

+1% to intellegence gives me now +12 int so +7% to attributes will give me 84 int, isn't that better than perf Izaro? And yes, I'm agree that price is too much expensive.

I think I figured out the reason behind hard times I had with certain bosses.
https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/554q7z/patch_240h/d87ibj6 It looks like leech is kinda wonky right now. Last edited by GladiatorUA#0888 on Sep 29, 2016, 7:30:32 PM

" Aaaaaaaaand... it's done. 1st try. On the Templar/Inquisitor version of this build (I'm just trying something new because I've already played the Scion and the Witch in the last two leagues). I guess I'll post a guide for it some time soon. That class has its perks, although I still consider Elementalist the strongest. |

just curious what kind of stats/setup i'd need to face tank merc lab. His leap slam seems to 1 shot me at 5.9K ES with a granite flask
|
|
" He can do 6.5k damage with his main attack and max buffs thru fortify. So either get more than 6.5k ES or don't let him get buffs. And always keep Forify up against Izaro. |
