Could you play this as an occultist? I'm lvl 50 and lvling fast, but I have yet to choose an ascendancy. I like the defensive aspect from occultist.

" So, the core of the problem is not a tree, but your gear i guess, let us see, your character has: no int on: gloves, belt, boots and chest. Low int on: amulet (30 int amulet is so bad), rare ring. Low ES on: gloves, boots (too low both), a little bit ES on belt. U have to gear up! :) Focus on getting gloves and boots with some res and 130+ ES 40+ int, rare chest 600-700+ ES 40+ int and some res, crystal belt (crafted with spite essence to get int on it) with at least one res, Astramentis amulet or at least rare amulet with high int roll (60+), Perandus ring or at least rare ring with good int roll (45+) and double res. And about tree: drop Trickery and Elemental focus, pick some int nodes to the left of Blast radius to link your tree, then drop Foresight and 2 ES nodes close to it, drop all Spell damage and Elemental damage nodes to the right of Retribution. You will have 9 free nodes - use them to move straight to the Unwavering stance. Replace your Wizard's cobalt jewel of freezing with Brute force. Be careful until you get Unwavering stance, try to keep optimal distance (to make WM apply to enemies) and do not try to facetank anything until you get it. Hi guys, not sure if my profile is public and if you can have a look at it.
But please give me an advise what should I improve next. I know my boots are low ES but I swat 90ES on boots with no resists vs low ES boots with resists and mov speed. In that case I was able to take resist skill points off and put them towards dps and INT, so not a bad swap probably. just interested what do you guys think, what could be next step forward, thanks |

First of all, thanks for the awesome build! I'm having a blast playing it.
Sorry for another "comment my gear" post, but I tried running uber atziri and was destroyed by the trio. Can anyone post some rough guidelines what stats should I aim for to kill uber atziri and shaper? Anyway, here's my stuff - I have 1600int, 7.2k ES. Still trying to get the good enchants. Which item should I upgrade the most? For jewels I have decently rolled Izaro's Turmoil. |

" If your resists are already over 135 in h/o then you don't need Diamond Skin and can use those points to get the next jewel socket soon, etc. As long as you are not using weak jewels to get those resists. Your gear is good and should be just fine for the Shaper when you level up your char and gems. " Bad luck can happen. That's why I recommend having 1k+ chroms before trying it. Most of the time (in my experience) you don't need that much. Vorici 3R is definitely the best way to get RRRG on an Int item. " Hexproof sure is annoying. Suddenly all those mobs that normally just stand around like dummies are able to actually hit you, and even hurt you! :-O I usually just throw a chaos at it and reroll too, unless it's corrupted. " There used to an OCC WI build in 2.3 or 2.4, I don't see it anymore, I guess it got too pointless after T16 was released and got abandoned. I see no reason to play OCC with a pure elemental damage setup. It has nothing for ele damage, it's a class designed for chaos damage over time, so its DPS with WI would totally suck compared to Elementalist. It wasn't quite so noticeable before T16 because everything below T16 is way too easy to see the difference. But T16 is on a different planet from T15. " Did you try to facetank the Uber Trio or something? You will get destroyed if you try. It's not quite the same as Vaal Temple, it does literally double the damage. Don't facetank that until you have only the cycloner left. See the 2.3 video with annotations, it has all the details. The only thing that's changed since 2.3 is that I use better flasks for Atziri herself now. Your Int is fine but you need more ES. Aim for 8-8.5k like in the latest video. I'm sure Uber is possible with 7.2k too, since you have the DPS. I had 8k in the latest video and never dropped low enough to worry. But for the Shaper 7.2k would feel very uncomfortable. Just wanted to throw an update out there, with this flask setup I'm doing T14 maps easily now, no real fear of death. If a T15 drops I'm sure I can do it fine as well. Massive physical damage reduction means I don't have to worry about being randomly instagib. Thanks again Kelvynn and Purdurabo12. Really appreciate the tips.

So i've only got a few more challenges left before im done with this league so i wanna have some fun, i still have 1.5k int and 7k ES but i have 112/200 Rarity which is fun xD, still 4k unbuffed DPS so yeah it's possible.
Only problem with the MF Variant no double curse, and it's almost impossible to use distilliate so dont try. |

" If you want to MF with the Distillate, use the self-cast version, take out WM and AA, enchant your boots with leech instead. That will cost more mana, leech less and give you more room in the mana pool. Obviously, you don't want to try anything endgame with that, but for a typical MF Strand run that's still an overkill. |

Okay so I'm posting again, how do I get past the no regen maps besides Warlord's?
