thats 11.6% damage increase there will be rarly an option to get more damage from a helm

Is this build good for uber atziri farming? Cant decide between Wi and Voltaxic LA builds ;/

Black Sun gives you a percentage increase, it depends on how much Int you have without it. If you don't have a lot of Int without it then it won't give you enough to be worth it. If it gives you 300 damage for the price of 660 ES when you replace your rare helm with it, then you are not ready for it yet.

I just checked on my Standard league Witch. I have this awesome helmet there that I was using before switching to Black Sun:

So I just compared my numbers with it vs Black Sun on my lv 93 Witch with good gear. By switching from that helmet to Black Sun I lose 388 ES and gain 1223 Icestorm dmg (Pendulum off). That's a great bargain.

I don't know where exactly the threshold is, how much Int you need to have before switching to Black Sun, but it a great deal eventually. In the Prophecy league, I wore Black Sun at lv 70.

Also, the Black Sun needs to be the high Int variety, at least 13%, ideally 15% Int. If you are trying one with like 8-10% Int that's not so good.

This build can farm Uber Atziri, but not insta-kill every phase like the current OP incarnation of LA (the one with Frost Wall). So if your main priority is Uber - go with that one. Until it gets nerfed inevitably. :)

Replacing Astramentis with Chayula would absolutely destroy this build. You'd lose an insane amount of ES, damage, and you wouldn't be able to use half of your gems.

People keep making that mistake: thinking that all those nodes on the way to US are wasted or something. But they are all Int nodes, except 5. The stun immunity is achieved for the price of just five nodes. Everything else is converted to Int and gives you DPS and ES.

I followed your guide to a T (am at level 75), and holy crap is it safe AND fun (though not so much for my friends with a 660Ti for a GPU)! Would definitely recommend this build for newer players.

Aww thank you for the testing. Plus, I forgot about the Enlighten gem that will be +1 too. So wait until I achieve higher INT and make sure to grab a 13%++ one.

Got my buddy back playing the build now too, he loves it. He got some ES gear and says feels a lot better :)

I just want to say thanks for such a nice build. This is my first ever CI build. Was kind of scared of them to tell the truth but after watching some videos I saw that it wasn't as bad as I thought. I chose this build because it looks like something I would like and I already had a 6 socket Whispering Ice in my stash from a Prophecy.

I'm just about to clear Normal and so far the build is rocking everything I've come up against so far. I did die a couple of times but I just took that as normal for a CI especially my first ever one.

My only questions so far is there any number of ES I'm looking for at certain points? Say around what number I'm looking for at for end of merciless to beginning mapping maybe or around what I should be looking to have before going into Merciless Lab? I know more is always better but does anyone have maybe some recommended numbers I should be looking at? Thanks for any help you can give.

What is the ideal level for Atziri's farm?

Finally got my hands on a Astramentis +1 curse ..
First time tried Temporal Chains noticed no difference to tell the truth ;/
Maybe out of lab ;)
And still could not convince myself to give up on lightning warp and skill the duration notes ..
I know i have to do it but Leap IS soooo BAD
