[2.6] The Curse Whisperer - Tri-Curse CI Whispering Ice Elementalist - Viable for Everything
" cull is not possible on staffs, 0.2% fire damage leech is not worth it. the only corruption that might be better than the native 12% block is "supported by lvl 1 increased aoe". with aoe, you have a more comfortable coverage despite using conc effect in the staff; and/or you can remove amplify and blast radius since those nodes give us an average of 10% increased damage per passive point. so if we dont need those nodes for increased radius, we can skip them and take better damage alternatives. |

" Just don't facetank fully buffed Izaro with that. It's easy enough to dodge his primary attack, he telegraphs it several seconds in advance. And of course letting him get full buffs (i.e. max keys) is the whole point of farming the Lab. So until you have more than 8k ES - dodge Izaro. Once you are over 8k ES - you can just faceroll him. That goes for both Merc and Uber Lab. For merc the number is 7k. Normal and Cruel Labs can be done easily upon reaching Act 4 in their difficulties. I've done it even in HC. " This mod does nothing because Icestorm is not a gem. You can see your AE radius mod in the stats, it doesn't change at all when you use this staff. " No. This build works only with Icestorm. Firestorm is a completely different skill and most of this build's best features won't work with it. " More important than Flammability. We already have a huge resist penetration. Making the endgame boss attack you slower is better than doing some more DPS. TC loses 50-60% of its effectiveness against bosses but so does Flammability (while resist penetration does not). " There are 4 Labs, not 3. You are missing the Uber Lab. " Don't waste your currency. 12% block chance is already the best implicit you can have. 0.2% fire dmg leech is less helpful than block, and Culling Strike cannot be rolled on a staff. Right now I have a 3.5k damage tooltip (or something like that) with golem, which goes up to 5k with elemental overload and the ascendancy bonus every X seconds, and that's with IIR instead of CE.
My question is, if I equip Izaro's Turmoil Jewel, would the damage tooltip go to an extra 25%? A 50% because both cold and fire damage? Or would it be a minor increase? I'm not sure what I'm boosting with spell damage and int. |

" Izaro instead of what? See the Gear-Gems section. Calculate your jewel's value. Use the available jewels with the best values. Increased damage mod does not increase your Icestorm tooltip by the same percentage. Your Icestorm tooltip is a product of your Int/5 * sum of all Increased mods * each of the MORE mods. |

"Good news, everyone!" )))
Patch 2.5.1 introduces a new divination card called Polymath (3/3) that gives Astramentis. This game definitely needs more Astramentis! |

Hi, thanks for the build. As a fairly new player i'm not sure what I should be buying to transition into the end game. I know I need to max resistances and I already have my 6 socket staff but astramentis is far from my budget. Could any one please have a look at my character and see how I should spend 40 chaos. Thanks

hmm, whoever said that the "gems in this weapon are supported by lvl 1 inc aoe" would work with icestorm was indeed wrong. I just looked it up and found an official statement from GGG:
https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1241298/page/1#p10426118 so, there is indeed no corruption that would be better than 12% block. Last edited by Black_Gun#7476 on Dec 20, 2016, 12:02:40 AM
