The Crypt boss doesn't nuke you for cursing him. He casts a Nova type spell when a curse on him expires (see the Wiki). Blasphemy WM never expires unless you run away from him. Enfeeble lasts 16 sec. TC lasts 9 sec. Just leap onto him and roflstomp him, 9 sec is more than enough, and his nova doesn't do much damage anyway. Are you trying to range kill him or something?

i mean i have quite a bit of int/ES but i'm only breaking 8k.

can you peek my gear and let me know if i'm just off? (i understand im running a 720ish es chest, i can divine it up to 800 but i'm broke from gearing the build atm)

also - should i run 4 of those izaro's? or would 2+2 rares be better for the int?

For more ES you need better gear, there is no other way. Chest like mine compared to a 720 es one is 1.6k shield.

Rare Jewel with 8% increased maximum es adds around 200 shield. Prepare for another nightmare when you try to get rare jewels with int, spelldamage, es.

Total ES is a product of the raw ES from gear and Int. Foresight is a mistake, those points would be much better spent on a new jewel socket (get one at lv 90). You can get a small ES boost comparable to Foresight from a lv 21 Discipline that costs only currency instead of skill points.

Your gear is pretty decent ES-wise, the obvious weak link is the 721 ES chest, but it's 50 Int and good resists. A chest with more ES and still good Int and a resist mod will cost several ex.

But you are lacking Int more than raw ES. Get a better Astra. Get a better Doedre's. Get a better Fertile Mind and Brute Force Solution. At least two of your Izaro's are very low roll, you can find Int rares with more total value.

And just level. If your resists are so good that you are not even taking Diamond Skin then you can get 2 more jewels by lv 93 for a good Int boost.

thanks for this build. I came back to poe after a long break and this is really fun and fits my style perfect.
It is pretty hard to upgrade my gear right now. Can you tell me what I need to be shaper viable? I just want to kill this dude once before the league ends.
I got like 6Ex Cash for better gear. I spent like 300C in Deafening Essences of spite and trying to craft a decent belt and gloves. My belt is the best I made, and gloves were hopeless so far.



I try to get fingerless gloves with a lot Int, Lightning Res, and ES. That is hard to come by.
Then I could swap out the shitty res jewel. I think I will change the Int, speed, ES jewel for Izaros later on. I wanted to safe cash for more important gearupgrades.

Do you have any advice?

Tried to face tank it, but i guess my DPS isn't high enough for killing it on that 9 sec frame yet. My overall tool tip damage is only around 5k so far.

5k tooltip should be enough. And even 1 curse expiring shouldn't really kill you. Not sure what could be happening there. Are you not maxed on res? Or the map has some nasty mods? I had no issues with the Crypt boss in either league, but I haven't played Shaped Crypt (that's an odd choice of a T9 map to shape). I'll check it out if I can get one for a reasonable price.

You need Enlighten lv 3 for the Shaper, lv 2 is a bad idea. You want to pre-cast 2-3 Icestorms on him at the start and be able to spam cast it while tanking him without any delays due to being out of mana.

Your belt is good enough. But rolling good gloves (or chest, or boots) with essence is a really low chance lottery, they have a lot more possible affixes than belts. Don't count on making one yourself.

Your boots have no movement speed. That can hurt at the Shaper in some situations (like when you tank him in a vortex and he goes to open a portal on the other side of the arena, or does Ultimate Chaos). So you'll have to rely on a flask for speed boost when you need it.
