"Does it also happen in DirectX 9Ex and 11? In my case it's a DX9 specific issue, and after about thirty seconds to a minute of doing nothing the game screen returns. ye,it's Dx9 issue. tired Dx9Ex no problems.
i've noticed,that poe process after selecting it goes from 1400 K~ to 2000 K then drop again to 1400 with endless loop (1400 to 2000,from 2000 drop to 1400 and repeat) |

Going to necro this thread as it also helped me.
I could not alt tab, perma crashes after the last mini update. Changing to Dx9EX saved my problem.(no clue what the difference is though) ign: ropefly

Just now googling the problem, had the problem for a while.
Dx9Ex fixed the issue for me too, I was previously running Dx9. THANK YOU!!!! <3 (I can finally use Poe.Trade on the same computer again LOL) |

go into options change the setting called directx version to directx 9 ex or directx 11 hope it helps :D |

Happens to me as well, not just alt+tab, any windows notification that takes priority over POE process will crash the game. Is really annoying when you are in mid game, or if you accidentally press alt+tab.
