Skill Reveal - Frostbolt and Vortex

I'm curious about the totem interactions with these skills.

Can I have totems casting out the frostbolts while I self-cast novas/vortexes and still have the aoe occur at the projectile location without the totem damage penalty?

Can I have two different types of totems, a frostbolt and a vortex/nova totem, and they still have the same interaction as if both were self cast?

Because right now I see a strong totem synergy if it works as I hope it will.

Dont like the skill, only the mechanic is cool.

Why I dont like it? Since all new skills outperform all old skills making them useless, they are overpowered.

Basicaly old skills = basic effect
New skills = old skill + supports gratis

Its way better to introduce new support skill rather than adding new activate skills.
Activate skills should all give basic effect (fireball, iceball, pulse, cold snap etc.)

Where this skill would be better support gem:
- works only on projectile spells
- reduce projectile speed by large %
- you can cast nova-type skill directly over supported projectile

DONE - you can now support existing skills rather than making new OP skills. Adding stuff in supports is much better since player will need to resign from other support to gain more power rather than gaining it for free.

I take it this only works with ice nova?

That's too bad. I'd love to see shock nova or some other variants play off this skill as well. Any none targeting aoe skill would really make it interesting. With it just being ice nova it really limits the choices.

Just played a bit of Diablo 3 and was hardly impressed with the "content" of the new season. Then I went to YouTube and saw this video.
