The message when you try to leave the labyrinth needs to be reworked.

Agree, I almost RIPed trying to portal out and couldnt the 1st time I went in.

Once you know that it happens, it's not too hard to deal with. Just pre-pot and/or drop a distraction before trying to enter the portal.
I agree it is counter-intuitive though - a message that is supposed to help you is actually a real hindrance. Maybe they should fix it so that if there are lots of enemies around, it doesn't show the message, but if you are safe it does show the message? Face it, all of your suggestions are worse than this idea:
