I, Slayertip, Have officially given up hope for GGG.

Usually Its a common trend for companies. The larger and older they grow (and the more money they have), the less friendly and idealistic they become, they start listening to people who play their game less. Ofcourse its for them to make final decisions, but sometimes I get an impression that they think that people here are complete idiots who know nothing, that they are better.

I remember when CCP company got greedy and tried to take "pay to win" path in their "EVE online" game like 5 years ago or so. It backfired, many people were protesting and most importantly cancelling their game subscriptions. That taught them lesson.

Odd emotional plea aside I agree with your assessment. Seems like PoE is becoming more the product of a corporate cog machine than a well thought out product of passion.

On the face of it there seems to be a communication break down along the production process, lead designers to QA/usability or why no one told the designers that the servers aren't ready for the lab to be all or nothing in terms of progressing through it. It seems like now there are just independent departments doing there own bit of work regardless of the quality of the overall product rather than a team of people working together towards one goal.

The set of people making final design decisions needs to step outside of their little bubble they've built for themselves and seek advice because honestly all the quality in the game right now is coming from the art/aesthetics, not good game design decisions.

They need to work on interpersonal communications and get fluidity back into the design stage of development, if that's not it then we might need a coaching staff shake up. :/

, +1 OP
teh drama. also please stop speaking for me.

i like the new labyrinth content and this opinion is formed independently of the amount of money i spent on the game. the labyrinth has amazing artwork and a thought through concept.

by providing riddles and requiring advanced moving skills it provides some advantage to the part of the player base which is skilled and also able to master intelligence tests usually provided for kids. which is of course not applying to the whole player base and results in alot of complaints.

the good thing is: one can skip the parts requiring intelligence (or use tools provided for those who can't) and go straight into the parts which require positioning skills.

there is only one part of the labyrinth which is implemented wrong, xp you get stops when you overleveled the merciless lab so it doesn't make much sense to run it level 85+.

the monster level should be the same as dried lake merciless at least.

i also miss your opinion of what's wrong with the lab from your personal point of view.
age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

In my opinion, the thing wrong with the lab is... Too much for too little.

By that, i mean, getting trials done, which some, are absolutely out of the way, You can DC in lab, crash, or even die, and youll have to start again, its too much time wasted for 2 measly points.

MFW this community is actual shit.

GGG makes a league that wont be void that gives all the items you could ever want, they literally gave people what they asked for. Those same people are the ones going around bitching that the league is dead and that its a terrible league.

These are also the same people complaining and asking for a Solo Self Found League.

Im fully convinced this community is made up of nothing but people who are simply incapable of thinking for themselves. Its actually quite annoying how you can see people say something one day, then something else the next that completely contradicts what they said previously.

The sad part is, GGG actually tries to listen to these less than casuals who do nothing but whine, and they honestly shouldnt. Im tired of seeing soo many good games tanking because of these shitters that migrate to another game after they killed off a game. They then go on to kill that game they migrate to. Theyre actual parasites leeching off of a game and damaging its health until it dies.

GGG is starting to get to that same point Blizzard did where their games become a brainless, loot simulator.

Harvest sucks! But look at my decked out gear two weeks in!

The problem is that most people who come here, most likely came from Diablo 3, and they want this game to be ezmode like D3 is... And as you said, GGG has no choice but to cater for them... :/

Vocal minority is always the most vocal.

Aye. What I know for a fact is that whether I'm the 20% or 80%, I love ascendancy and labyrinth. I was expecting to find it boring but it all turned out to be really fun. With my relatively limited time, I didn't feel like joining Perandus, so I can't comment on that part. But I know I've read countless posts talking about Cadiro as the greatest thing ever to hit PoE.

Cadiro is good -- for the casual player. For those who appreciate the "grind" that's SUPPOSED to be a part of this game, the grind that doesn't exist at all in Perandus, Cadiro is an absolutely disgusting addition.

And regarding the vocal minority. You're right, the casual ****bags are the silent majority.
[s]only mindless sheep think labyrinth is OK to have in PoE.[/s]
okay nevermind labyrinth, fix dx9 blackscreen instead...

Perandus was an embarassment... it took away the Grind, the Hardcoreness... the only Hardcore moments was then my GPU almost exploded to the amount of FPS drops that occurred during my time in Perandus.

THis is true problem of PoEritgh now.
