Short answer: Yes. I have 58k tooltip with my gear if I take out Critical Strikes gem and play on a 5L (just with the Charges).

I rlly like the idea of that build :) especially the hungry Abyss jewel

I strongly suggest the Enhance setup I have now, phasing out Arctic Armor if you have +1 Curse somehow in favor of a boosted Temportal Chains + Projectile Weakness. Of course, this is only possible for double curse with a 5L.
Can't say no to 29% Increased Lightning Damage from HoT, either!

After switching to Victario's, I can say it feels much better than even a double-curse Rare (and yes, even more DPS).

This certainly helps if you get one, but by no means needed. DPS and defences are... strong.

The +1 Curse Victario is by no means necessary, but it's certainly BiS, closely followed by a +1 Frenzy Victario's.

Same goes for the 5 Corrupted Items + Hungry Abyss / Culling Strike Bow / Cast Speed Lori's. It's nice to have, by no means a must.

Nope. Nor do Flasks and Gems. Only gear.

That said, none of the gear is hard to get Corrupted, it doesn't even cost more usually unless it's something REALLY good like +1 Curse / Culling Strike.

what do you think of +30% chaos from Eldritch Knowledge jewel to the right of Nullification?
