How reliable would it be to proc the savage hit mechanics of berserker?

I came up with my own little passive skill tree. Focused on 9 jewel sockets, vaal pact, MoM and life. 114 points used for 212% life, 9 jewel sockets. So with 6.5k life, 15% (savage hit) would be 975 damage with scolds bridle per cast or 244 mana per cast. This can be achieved in WED bitterdream with 2 fevered mind jewels (106.608 base mana for leapslam in bitterdream * 2 jewels).

So WED bitterdream + 2 fevered mind jewels on 6.5k hp will trigger 100% of damage leeched as life with vaal pact. The build has 9 jewel sockets so thats another 7 spare for 49% increased life, could possibly go for 7k+ easily with life/spell damage jewels.

Also berserker has 50% attack speed (25% due to savage hit, 25% due to crave of the slaughter) so it would come out as faster attack/sec on leap slam than elementalist easily.

Guess it comes down to 100% damage leeched as life with vaal pact, 50% attack speed, 40% more damage vs elemental conflux and prolif

One concern I have is reaching max mana too fast due to 3% mana leech by Pain Reaver (berserker passive) and it cancelling out the 800% mana cost gained as life potion, then again youll have 100% damage leeched as life so I dont think thats a problem.

it will proc savage hit every time , dont worry about that, but the mana problem is worrysome, because you wont know how long you flask will last

Use lightning golem somewhere - if you need to stop and your mana fills up, just cast it, use flask and go. I'm playing berserker and mana obviously won't refill if you keep attacking - it takes around 2 second of not attacking for it to fill. It's annoying, yes, I use 3 zerphis.

You should take ele overload for 40% MORE dmg always.

How good is 100% of damage leeched as life with vaal pact? I assume it would out leech literality everything in the game with an average of like 100k+ leech/sec probably a lot higher, and with 7-8k hp from massive hp node stacking on the tree, that leech should easily be enough to outleech everything in the game right?

Mathematically it seems too good to be true but in practice is it?

First it doesn't matter how much HP you have - vaal pact will leech the same amount always, in this case 100% of dmg.
Second, you can do ANY map mod. I don't ID unind rare ones. Reflect is not an issue, for vuln curse map just remove one fevered mind.

While 100% instant leech is OP you will still die with this char, there are 3 situations this can happend:
1. Your Zerphi's buff is removed by nullifer or by leveling up.
2. You get one shotted.
3. You use your skill right after receiving big hit thus killing yourself.

While 1 and 2 can be avoided, the 3 will kill you. Let's say you have 8k life and use 3k for a skill - that leaves you with only 5k with no defences and 10% inc dmg taken.

So a potential solution for using a skill then being 1 shot could be to use a kaoms and sacrifice the 6L. You would still have 3, 4L's for CWDT and a 3L for whatever probably vaal skills, but you should be able to reach 9k hp or so (just an estimate) with tier 1 life/str rolls and 270% on tree.

With 9k hp and dealing 2-3k damage to yourself a shot, thats an effective 6-7k hp which most life builds sit around in end game bossing/mapping somewhat comfortably.

Idk I'll definitely play around with this soon, looks like a very fun build
