In terms of raw clear speed this build can't compete with ranged bowers.
It's alot tankier tho and therefore doesnt die as fast = you dont have to be as carefull.
Also you have three months in the new league now so why dont play both builds? :)
If you feel like playing ranged, play ranged. If you feel like playing melee, play melee.
Cheers, Zahkriisos!
Still learning about how leagues work but do you always create a new character when a league starts? Or is it okay to continue using the character from the previous league?

When a new league starts you allways start with a new character.
The characters you used before in other leagues are either transfered to "regular standart" if you played the softcore league or to "standart hardcore" if you played the hardcore league. :)
Trying to satisfy the whole PoE community is like telling a nymphomaniac to only have sex once in a week.
I think that's fairly accurate. :')

I'm guessing the point of leagues is to get new items that are only available during the time frame of the league? So for example if I were to play my old character that's not in a league I wont get anything?
My bad for making this thread into a Q&A for the general game and not the build haha

There is no unique specific to the new league this time around I believe. But each new league does offer something special above items. Prophecy allowed you to turn existing uniques into super charged versions. Perandus gave you coins that you could use to secure some great uniques that 99.9% of the playerbase would never see drop. Talisman had some very powerful amulets.
Moreover, each new league starts with a fresh economy. You could have a player that has played this game for 5 years and one that literally just installed it, but both will start the new league with exactly the same items and currency: none.
New leagues are a great place to start for new players for that very reason. Unlike Standard where the cost of items is high and it's quite an uphill battle to secure anything decent, new leagues are a terrific place to snag items on the cheap, especially the earlier you begin them. I have personally snagged rings worth 20ex for an alch or two at the very start of a new league!
Deliver pain exquisite

Zahkriisos1337 i was just wondering when you were going to look at the build with the new update. just thought that you maybe were trying a new build for hc or focusing on some other build and looking at this later. i am really interested in the build and want to play it. i know it got nerfed but i kind of just wanted to know if i would have to change the skill tree and ascendancy tree so i can start playing it and start leveling it

Have been playing some red maps after the patch went live and I have not really noticed any difference at all really.
Still using the old tree and the same ascendencies. :)
So ur good to go! :P

Thanks for the info, so should I just skip the new league? Seems like the only difference are the essences that drop, doesn't seem that worthwhile.

What about Sunder after the patch? With Earthquake nerf and Sunder buff should be more viable! the build is basically the same.. just one or 2 support gem of difference!
