So vengeance is a pretty shitty spell imo. I guess it's another chance to hit the monster; but it just feels like a wasted skill slot. Another possible option could be vigilent strike? That way you'll at least get fortify...

And unless i'm wrong, it'd be almost a perma fortify.

"Attacks the enemy with a powerful melee strike. You gain the Fortify buff, granting damage reduction. The cooldown can be bypassed by expending an Endurance Charge. Requires a Melee Weapon"

Why exactly do you think Vengeance is bad? I think its pretty good since its getting triggered by Scolds Bridle damage.
The problem with Vigilant Strike is that you have to stop Cycloning but of course feel free to vary link combinations if you like.
I didn't realize it was ALL enemies around you. I guess it's just another chance to attack, which is another crit, which is chance to proc skills. So in short it's probably more damage, just less tanky.

That being said, you could take out Molten shell and put both vigilent strike and vengeance in, or if you had a 6l you could add it. That way, even more attacks and flat 20% damage reduction, which imo would outweigh the armor from regular molten shell.

Don't take this as i'm trying to poop on your build, i think it's great, but i love tweaking and min maxing :D.

Sure why not, Molten Shell is not that usefull with the high IC uptime anyways so I might change it for Flame Surge soon. If you want to play it with Fortify that should work out as well :D

And I thinks its awesome, so many people bringing in ideas/suggestions for improvements, thats what made it so good in the first place :)

So to further this, if my theory is correct for damn near perm fort; you could give up unstoppable for unyielding and get 1.9% life regen and 30% more flat damage. Since you already have Art of the Gladiator; not sure how the 10% ms from unstoppable makes however.

***EDIT**** Scratch this all. COC can't proc vengeance.

Hi Vendatpath, thanks for your build and all the nice ideas from this hole thread! I tried to build a Soulthirst, Shackles, Molten Vaal Combo.

And would like to know, how i can optimize it, because i'm not really experienced in poe :))

Cheers

Thats a very interesting approach, keep in mind that if you cast Temp chains on yourself that negative effects also last longer.
I would probably try to get Increased Duration as Flask enchant and 20% quality on it. Other than that Iam not sure what is worth taking in the Skill Tree to further improve Flask duration.
Also try to get boots with 30% movement speed, you cast more Cyclones then(more VMS triggers).

BIG WARNING: Soulthirst's Soul Eater effect makes it so your Vaal skills don't get any Vaal souls. Soul Eater eats the souls.

There's a workaround if you use Chill of Corruption. C of C's chance to give Vaal souls on shatter doesn't interact with Soul Eater. However, Vaal Molten Shell requires so many souls that even with perfect freeze chance (which is damn hard to do starting from Marauder, mind you) it would still take too many souls to be practical, I think.

Soulthirst could still be pretty cool with Scold's and this build, though. The best flask to use with that belt is a Sanctified Mana flask with the Saturated prefix, and you don't want to use any other flasks while that's up so unfortunately you wouldn't be able to quicksilver. But maybe you could go for some kind of CoC phase run? On Vengeance perhaps?? Or maybe seven-league step would be enough?

If you want to know more about Soulthirst feel free to ask other questions, I made a guide for a Juggernaut build centered around it (build's called Soul Food, check it out :) ) so I should be able to answer them.
