Since your first post doesn't mention it and I've never done a voltaxic build before, what auras are you running?

seem to be having an issue upkeeping my mana atm... even with 2 mana flasks, i run out when it comes to bosses

is it worth buying a voltaxic rift without 5L?

Whats your tree and your Jewels? As Weasle mentioned, one or 2 Jewels with +2 mana on hit are enough for sustain. Maybe you want to pickup the Essence Sap node at the Ranger Area near Arrow Dancing. this may also helps alot.

Sorry didn't saw this post.

Possible Aura Combinations:

Wrath + HoT (CoH Ass Mark) - Max DPS
Wrath + HoI (CoH Ass Mark) - Best CoH
Wrath + Arctic Armour - Safety First
HoI + Hot + Arctic Armour (very low mana!) - Just because you can

Wrath is the best Aura for its massive Ele damage.

As seen in the Equipment from Weasle he's using Wrath + Arctic Armour (ofc HC best option) and without a CoH setup.

Its also Possible to use Poachers Mark on a Curse on Hit setup, to avoid Blood Rage. (if wished)

As a Softcore Player (yeah shame on me Kappa) I would and will use Wrath + HoI or HoT

What are the major differences between your build and Havoc's?

My BV ranger is 94 and I'm leveling a Duelist right now to play voltaxic LA, but I was thinking I could just respec my ranger into LA aswell...

I would just like to hear some pro's and con's.


Is it possible to use Rat's nest / Snakebite / Coil on ranger? I guess it is since there doesn't seem to be a major difference with havoc's skill tree (and he uses them)

With good enough resists on the rest of the gear pieces sure but will take a lot of resists on gear and jewels to ele weak cap on red maps.
