Guys I kept having reflect issues so I switched to shadow and went 95% Crit ChaosNova.

" So, I've leveled up with both versions of the Templar/Inquisitor and Witch/Occultist from at least level 1-80. The Templar version is ALOT easier to level up. The Crit chance you get from the ascendency passives enable you to crit ALOT. Later on the ignoring resistances is much noticeable, for fight such as dominus and other bosses. The Witch on the other hand is MUCH harder to level early using ice nova. The options from the ascendency tree don't offer too much in regards to helping you deal more dmg. The +1 Power charge is very nice and the explosions of chaos help a bit but inferior when it comes to the Inquisitors ability to deal dmg earlier. It's not until later that you start dealing dmg when you can equip your PoH and Carcass with both atleast 5linked. Now, saying this you'd think that the clear cut class to choose seems to be Inquisitor, but playing both to around level 80ish, I can say that Witch/Occultist seems to be a little better nearing end game. The biggest thing that I've noticed is that you get 12% chaos dmg added to your attacks if you kill something with 3 curses on it. This is huge because obviously the benefit is that very little resists chaos dmg apart from bosses. The shear amount of mobs you kill ensures that you always have this bonus. It's pretty close to atleast 2k chaos damage at all times with only a 5l PoH and Carcass and no 20% gems. Also, you can do this setup easily enough without faster casting/less duration on your lightning warp as long as you have a helmet with the lightning warp enchant. When you get a 20% lightning warp it will be much faster and its still decent to use for mobility and cursing. as you can see no faster casting/ less duration and it works fine. This to me is acceptable mostly because I no longer have to deal with short duration curses as much as I used to. Especially for bosses. That's my two cents, either version is still fun but expect to die a lot if you have less than 4k hp. There's definately a learning curve playing this build because its not as cut and dry as some might make it out to be. Be aware of the mobs you jump into and learn which mobs you can kill easily enough without getting stunned to death and you'll be fine. " Well I agree and I used spark mostly, but it was just a glimpse for people who wish to use ice nova as soon as possible. The inquisitor is the better choice if you want to effectively level up and get to end game faster. However, in my opinion the witch has a better late game. " Life Leech is needed only for ele reflect maps, i rather sell the map or reroll it then waste my time with ele reflect maps. Empower, well if you want to use Empower, you will need 2 POHs. Using POH with the last socket blue, will allow you to use Increase Rarity gem for MF, Inc.Aoe gem for easy maps, faster clearing speed. Concentrated effect for flame surge combo. When it comes to Atziri's Step, Empower should be placed there without doubt. |
