Hello, will you be providing a leveling guide for us new players? like what trees to take or what skills to use or what items? Just started playing poe for a week and went for a ranger. Right now i want to do follow this build.

Hey you wrote one should prioritize gems which work with double dipping. just to be sure that meaans damage, chaos damage and area damage, right?

With that in mind here are the jewels I bought. Three of them have 22%-25% double dipping stats and one is defensive with life and evasion:

Also if I understood this correctly then the %attack damage with swords applies to blade flurry because we carry a mace in the offhand. Is what I said here correct?

Yes, increased damage, increased area damage and increased chaos damage double dip for poison. Chaos damage is a bit less efficient, because it wont boost the initial physical part, but most of the initial hit will be chaos anyway. So those look pretty good, I would always try to get 4 stat ones, but thats the next step. Just realize that if you use the perfect form, +%cold resistance is the same as +% evasion. Thats why its best to get +% all resist or cold plus another.

Not sure what you mean (non of the jewels have attack damage with swords), but I think you refer to the attack speed while dual wielding. In that case the answer is yes. You can also you increased attack speed with swords, because the off-hand mace can't be used as part of blade flurry. Its purely there for its stats.

I am now level 50 and following this build... When do you put a skill point Vaal Pact in the skill tree? I tried testing it and i keep dying from breaches if i have it. Also Ghost Reaver ? when to put a skill point? I have almost no energy shield.. isn't this useless? life leech to energy shield? sorry still new to this game

why do u need ghost reaver? it is a life based build so u dont even need it. You shud get vaal pact when you are ready for mapping

@andoy: Like iLoveToExilePeeps said, you don't pick up Ghost Reaver, neither skill tree in the guide has it. Its a life based build after all. Vaal Pact is best to pick up after you have done Endgame Labyrinth and have picked up the Pain Reaver ascendancy.

woops. i must be blind i thought the skill tree shows ghost reaver being taken XD

sorry. ahh il get vaal pact later. right now i am having fun with this build. but only issue is i have low mana which is only 500 mana. can't do grace + enfeeble, il be left with little mana. i can do arctic + enfeeble and have mana left. it's due to low mana regeneration when i spam whirling blades XD

What do you mean with "core" tree? Is it the main path you go, picking +DEX, +INT and +STR nodes without counting the "branches"? I just wanted to know what's the best path to take on the tree as I level up.
