I figured as much but wasn't sure because youre missing out on a ton of other stats like life, resists, crit chance, pure flat damage, attack speed...literally anything else. I guess I could throw on a pair of these and see how it goes.




I've been using your build from lvl 1 all the way through 73. Very helpful, thanks! When I hit 53 or so I had an Infractem and Drillneck lying around so I used that until I get a Voltaxic at 65. The infractem + drillneck made everything easymode with LA...Concerning LA vs Iceshot...Ive had both equipped for a long time and while Iceshot has a much higher toolsheet DPS than LA, I am leaning toward LA.

Reasons:
1. Voltaxic converts 100% lightning damage to Chaos. Wouldn't lightning arrow play into that affix much better than iceshot?
2. The arc from lightning arrows seems to have a wider range than the cone from iceshot, thus hitting more mobs. Often using Iceshot I had to clean up with a few extra hits.

Keep in mind that I haven't taken Ricochet yet for Ascendancy which may(or may not) sway me to Iceshot ...since LA has a higher pierce chance than Iceshot thus making richochet less effective with LA. Will have to test after I run merc labs for my 6th point.


But for now...I always keep going back to LA. I try Iceshot and it just doesnt have the same pack killing ability that LA seems to have.

Sure!5L will be enough

with this build you'll be farming very fast(currency drop,coin,chaos recipe etc...)

than you will need a rat's nest & facebreaker,that's not expensive at all

the most expensive one are,

30(40)+WEP rings,amulet

and 30+wep,crit chance,crit multi quiver

these will cost some ex,but you will get these fast with this build

Another question: Regarding Mana-Management: I'm lvl 40 by now and I'm mainly going with blast rain as my main skill gem for now. I have to use a mana flask often. Is there a node in your skilltree for that? I don't play long enough to see it by myself, too many points :D Thanks!
