Why you don't take nodes like Heart of Ice, Snowforged and Storm Weaver? They're all 25% cold damage each one and you don't have to go far away from the path to get it (just 3 points for Snowforged and 4 for Weaver, but Heart of Ice have the boost of cold damage on the way)
