I'm using the same build (followed the guide as closely as I can) but my DPS is drastically different. Currently my earthquake does 9k damage at level 87 gladiator, most of the damage nodes I've already picked so is there something I'm mising so badly? I have all damage you have (except I've currently not levelled the last 3 which is the 2 nodes for 10% damage and one which is 22% mace damage with

Even with hatred activated my Bringer of Rain with earthquake, melee damage on full life (level 1 as I only just swapped it realising the huge dps disparity), melee physical damage (level 1 same reason) and added fire damage (level 19) seems like I have 12k and can't imagine getting to 30k or so just from the levelling of the gems I mentioned.

I have varanastra, le huep of all (20% physical damage), ring with + physical damage (4-6), Bringer of rain etc. Am I missing something? I've gone through the whole game like this and just realised hte massive difference in DPS.

Are you sure that you are using Earthquake on your helm? (RRRB)
You should not need melee physical damage gem since it's included on your helm.
Try put Eq - less duration - melee damage on full life(added fire) - AoE(conc) on your BoR.

@GeGuRi Yeah it's in my Bringer of Rain, I see what you mean with the melee physical as it's already on there so I'll try change it. I had RRRR for the colours in helm but will try change to get one blue.

Seems when I look at your comment on page 1 though you show 30k to 50k dps whereas mine would still be about 15 or 16k. I feel I must have done something wrong as you physical damage alone is listed as around 4.6 to 9.3k on the tooltip for earthquake damage whereas mine is 1708 - 3474 when I have melee damage on full life, added fire damage and endurance charge on melee stun. I could swap out the added fire and endurance charge on melee stun easy enough but I don't think it'd put my dps on your level still.

I wish I could post my gear and stats but not sure how sorry. Doesn't seem to have linked my game account to my forum account. I'll try swap my gems around tonight and see how that works.

Edit: Swapped out one gem just before work, looks like concentrated effect has a pretty big impact, up to 18k dps and will just need to level it up some to get more dps as it's a level 1 gem. seems a shame to lose the area of effect radius, I'll have to look into a carcass jack to recover it.

Bought the helm for 1 ex, used about 30 chaos to end up with this result.

Should I go ahead and use that, or keep this Vertex I bought?

I would definitely use rare helm, grats!
My gear:

Loving this build so far! I got a lucky vaal corruption on an anvil, so I bought a heretics veil with reduced EQ duration and am using that. Dropped Hatred, running 2 curses and herald of ash. Doing low maps at the moment as my char is only lvl 68, running vulnerability and punishment for curses, mainly to boost damage. Vulnerability is really nice for both herald of ash ignites and the bleed from ascendancy. Not convinced about punishment, may drop it for enfeeble or temp chains or switch in warlord's mark for no regen maps? For Curse immune maps, could probably go back to hatred/herald of ash.

Has anyone tried to fit in either Riposte or a Vaal skill into this build? Riposte has higher damage numerically than Reckoning or Vengeance but seems to be single target. Also, playing around with vaal cyclone at the moment, due to many hits, you almost guarantee bleed and the bleeding explosions hit mobs as they get sucked in, seems nice.
Vaal cyclone can be dicey - I used to use on my cycloner and it got it killed far too many times. Maybe safer on a max block build though.
I'm using all the retaliation gems in conjunction with endurance charge on melee stun. Probably overkill but I had the sockets free (Maybe could have used a vaal skill instead though, either vaal haste or vaal discipline)

I've slightly respecced my build, dropped the ranger nodes and went to Templar instead.
Lost a bit of DPS (Mainly from loss of attack speed, which is a bit misleading) but gained a bit of life and armour, and taken the templar AOE nodes. Plus can access another jewel socket if I want.
Not sure if it was needed/optimal but was partially due to boredom and someone paying me in regrets on a trade.

New tree (I'm not sure on the pathing either, reckon I can probably improve it)

And gear (Don't think this has changed for a while)

I actually noticed that myself. Considering it's an earthquake build a bit of AOE makes sense. My version of build.

http://poedb.tw/us/passive-skill-tree/AAAABAQAAAHnBLMFLQhJCTMLYQz3FCAUTRUgFewYkRm0Gj4aVRuXIWAppSzpLYMvzDJONZI26Ds7PAU8LT38QKBBP0F0RJ5Gt0d-SshNRk3jUEdR5lO7VuhXDV8_YSFi7GVNZadnm2jybqp07XTxdit2rHdTeTl673t0fuKAioIHg1-DzITZhO-Gs4rwjM-Uh57Fns2fy6IApzCplayvrY2uPq5Qr2yy3LXytz65HbyfvTa-p7_VwGbAv8GCxILGrsqQz37RNtIh02_Yvdlh2Xzawdxz3Q3fsuCV4izkUelG6dXqGO8O73zwH_Iv8kHyRfZI9038S_4K_o8=

(I don't go for the never miss node so pick up the 30% accuracy by the mid left side with double damage from axes and swords, combined with the 18% accuracy from varunastra, the other accuracy in the build and the dex adding accuracy I really don't see an issue with accuracy).

This build looks awesome!!! Can't wait to try it when I get home from work =)
Fantastic build. This is the first league where I've been able to experience endgame content (t13-15 maps) and thanks to this build it's been a breeze both offense and defense wise.

The build has been great for soloing the challenges as I've soloed all twinned tiers with zero issues (twinned 14.Piety and twinned 15.Kaom) and have no doubt that I could easily solo the 8 mod challenge as well if I didn't already have 36 (as there are no map mods that you cannot run).

Last night I took down core Malachai without much issue, in fact, Maligaro was the tougher one in there. I can't think of any other truly threatening content I've run so far besides core Maligaro and Malachai - even village ruin bosses are doable (albeit sketchy).

Now, I want to squeeze the most out of this character:

Did anyone run Uber with this build and how was it? I've never tried it on any character but I've looted one mortal set this league so could attempt it. I guess the Vaals could be problematic since the dps is somewhat limited (~52k tooltip, no EQ enchant)?

Gear:
Spoiler

E: Did everything besides Core with BoR (Maligaro took 5 portals on my BoR Core try) and can't say that the 6L version is significantly better for most content. Just feels like a more polished character now (and chaos capping becomes easier which helps against say Maligaro)).
