I don't think they have a fixed spawning place. I have had luck with Spectral Scoundrels on Pier Maps, but not 100% of the time I think. Slashed Miscreations are easy to find on any map that has "Area is inhibited by Demons".

yeah i love the slashed ones but getting them sucks basically leave Poe on at all times since making a demonic map costs so many alts and no one wants to sell theirs

Before I gave up summoner on this league I was buying demonic maps for 1 chisel. Pretty fair if you ask me.

cannibal flame eater feels like it could be a very good spectre, but only if you can increase its range.

Same skill as flame totem, does faster casting/projectile or anything cause the range to increase? they just melt bosses

I bet you can. Should work the same way as flame totem so typically faster projectiles will sort out your troubles. It won't really increase the damage BUT you could swap it for slower projectiles for extreme damage on tough bosses :)

Though checking on the poe.db I can see they indeed work as a totem and repeat their cast 8 times. That means if anything moves out of their range, they will keep spitting fire into nowhere....sad

kind of the story for 80% of all monsters in the game saddly.

honestly ever since ggg added that new elemental damage gem it is generally just easier to go with flame sentinels .
I kinda feel like this patch is a nerf to summoners on the issue that is most important for summoners -- QoL. New mobs are cool and all, but if they're harder to find than regular mobs, eugh, normal mobs are already inconvenient enough :(

Summoners haven't seen a real QoL buff for some time...

you do realise spirit offering is quite a big quality of life for us, along with the new 2 passive points you can get all the goodies from the tree and become incredibly tanky via block, while not giving up any damage for your pets

Yeah, I guess spirit offering CWDT is pretty great. Maybe I've just got leftover salt from Perandus, that league was terrible for summoners

currently having fun with the spectral scoundrels, they seems to be really fast, and focus alot on bosses rather than giving a fuck about where you are. just need to swap in conc effect for area.

spirit offeering is great for extra chaos damage and tankyness.

too bad you cant get the ghosts' corpses with desecrate :P

Cannibal fire-eater might be an interesting to try. Its basically a voidbearer that deals ~50% more damage and doesnt hold the flame burst for as long. probably tankier as well.

That new one that uses magma orb, if not effective would be a lot of fun at least.

Nice chest man :D I would advise you to take out the Spell Echo. According to the poe database, they can have a maximum of 5 Blades out at any given time, so Echo isn't really necessary, same goes for Increased Duration. How about going Poison and Added Chaos or Life Leech instead?

I played with BV Spectres as well and can testify that I did not notice any difference with or without Spell Echo.

spell echo is also just plain annoying if you forget to take it out when summoning. Poison support (where applicable) is by far the biggest damage boost you can get, so always use on a spectre that has at least 50% physical/chaos damage.
I have been playing around with Slashed Miscreations alot, and wanted to show them in action: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V6znNZVsGF0&feature=youtu.be
Im using spirit offering and Vis Mortis to get 60% exstra dmg as poison, and then use the poison support gem. It works really well for me,
