I hit level 90 on my Ice Trapper and decided to convert it to Chaos. My tree is exactly like the one posted in the original post. I never had much survivability issues previously, but I find I'm dying incredibly often now. Here's my gear



I plan on switching that Quicksilver for a Basalt, but is there anything else I can do? 4.1k hp and I have % life on all 4 jewels that I have in my tree. My damage is fine

giving it a try, currently level 44, switched to trap on level 38 and it's quite good (even without weapons equipped yet), even if really, really squishy.

by the way :

1. which level is your clarity ?
2. what is your blasphemy/curses setup ? (level, and which curses ?)

I run Blasphemy-Temporal Chains-Enfeeble in a Heretic's Veil.

In spite of having a relatively low life pool, the dual curse setup is absolutely fantastic. Melee never gets to you due to TC and hits that you do take are usually mitigated by enfeeble.



If you like this setup, you can take Whispers of Doom to support dual curse until such time as you can afford/craft a decent +1 curse amulet.

Looking at prices on POE you should make roughly 45c or so profit by selling a 6-socket, 5-link and then buying the cheapest CJ with reasonable stats.

45c will get you about 290 jewelers.

On average, 6-socketting a 20-quality item will take about 240 jewelers.

So you'd make about 7c in profit on average.

Against the 7c average profit though there's a chance that 6-socketting could take a lot more than 240 jewelers in which case you'd stand to lose.

So, at the current prices I wouldn't bother selling and I'd just try to 6-link the CJ you have now.

Today was glorious :D. After playing for just 2 months got my first 6L on fusing (spent 300+), so beautiful:





Take a look at the tooltip with charges + atziri's flask (4 gems 19/20, 2 20/20). Using Cont Destruction now, tomorrow will grab a 20/20 Conc Effect and try some uber runs.
