To much Diesync in Labyrinth for Predictive End Fight
I am forced to use predictive as well have yet to find the problem I am having in route it is never on my end or my isp's end or ggg's end it is one of the other providers I have to hop through. For the most part I get a solid 30 - 40 ping to the nearest server but every so often I get a spike to 100 - 200 ms that lasts about 1 second then drops back into the normal groove. With Lockstep I get massive frame stutters when that happens and it is hard to predict because it is not consistent. Sure enough 3 rips in the lab going through one of the multi trap gauntlets you know the ones with Poison dart cross section and those spiky cylinders due to a desync. 3 times now in similar sections it is like I get sandwiched between 2 pillars spiky things.
Funny thing is playing other online games in the past where I am forced to 100 - 200 ping due to server locations I never got dsync so sure the netcode of this game still needs work hopefully eventually I can find a solution to those odd spikes. Next league I will probably just play Softcore so at least I don't have to re level everytime something like this happens. But at this point I don't think it is worth to switch. I lose all my currency and the market in PSC looks terrible already made a tester toon and I am forced to self found because non of the stuff I am finding will sell for anything more then 1 - 5 alts. " Talking about spiking to 200. The lowest ping possible from our location is 210ms (that is I have never seen the graph drop below that). A solid 30-40 ping is something we can only dream of. Ping here oscillates between 215-300ms which makes the labyrinth not enjoyable (due to the traps being out of sync and doing %life damage) Saying it is not worth to switch might be accurate if you get between 30-40ping, but a inevitability if you cannot go below 210ping. |

Just some feedback to confirm that the labyrinth gameplay mechanisms are not enjoyable with a high ping (220-300 ms minimum latency from my location).
I struggled with the endgame lab recently and finally decided not to do it due to the issues with the desync. I obviously made it through several times, labs and trials, but it's always a pita. Being punished when you do it right on your screen is particularly unnerving. And by the time you readjust (after resync), it's sometimes too late and you die. I know it's not GGG's fault and that we are a minority suffering from high latency (I hope so). It just feels like a broken part of the game for me. So, hang in there fellas!
