Hi thank you for sharing.

I dont understand why you are using blind gem. You cannot evade, or am i missing something?

You can still evade. The passive tree has changed since the first draft and unwavering stance is no longer picked up.
Evasion is moot here, since your chance to evade is only 5%, correct? Seems like a waste of a socket (using Blind to get 5% chance to evade, when you could do something else with that socket).

How critical is Ice Crash to this build? Could it be effective with another attack?
Ice Crash isn't 100% Critical for this build. I do like the baked-in 50% conversion on IC. It helps with double dipping into Elemental Damage multipliers. But this build can work with any sword-based melee skills.

You are correct about the 5% evasion chance that your character starts with, but blind is pretty good. See the link below.

http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Blind

Attacker's chance to hit while not blinded = 1 - 0.05 (Base evasion chance) = 95%

Attacker's chance to hit while blinded = 0.5 * (1 - 0.05) = 47.5%

There might be a better gem to support Reckoning, but I prefer the blind effect. It's a free survival bonus and there's no drawbacks.
Fun!

Can bino's work until I get a better weapon?

Thoughts on Violent Retailation vs Gratuitious violence?

I have an aegis aurora from my previous build, what do you think of trying to include it?

Thanks for sharing your cool build!
Also how do you craft %physical when it's already got that? And is that two mods or is there one I can't find that includes both somehow?

Bino's will not work with this build. The sword specialized passive nodes would be wasted and Ice Crash does not work with daggers. With that being said, I'm sure you can tweak the tree a little to make Bino's work with another melee skill.

I prefer Gratuitous Violence. The 30% increased damage on bleeding enemies and the clear speed from the explosions is more beneficial compared to Violent Retaliation. Even with nearly capped block chance, I find that stack generation is limited when your DPS output sits around 100,000. Most normal mobs die in 1 or 2 hits, leaving no time to get hit/block.

Aegis Aurora is a good replacement shield, but it's a trade off. You're sacrificing armour for ES regen. Less armour = more damage from Blood Rage and more spiky damage in the long run. Since life leech is capped, it's better to have a steady stream of damage instead of massive spikes (when possible).

And for the crafting question, Phy & Acc hybrid rolls were removed from the master crafting pool a while back. Items with that property can no longer be created.
Hi, for the 2.3 up I wanted to try out this build every this seem to be good nothing missing form the tree. I was wondering if you would have an idea of some unique and pots to use that would be good for the build.

Thank you

Hey there DeletedMuffin, glad you looked through the build and wanted to give it a try. Your standard pots will work with this build.

You'll need a way to remove bleeding, health regen, + damage, and movement speed. You wont cycle through your potions like other builds. You could use a Vinktars and Taste of Hate if you have them. I personal was fine with the potions above.

You can sub in any unique that doesn't affect the core of the build. You want to focus on physical damage and scale that pure physical damage into elemental damage. Carcass Jack, Belly of the Beast, and other quality of life items have their niche and help in 1 way or another. It depends on your play style and other benefits you'd like to have. Just make sure to have a pure physical sword for proper scaling and correct passive tree.
