Make Ascendancy a reward for finishing a difficulty

The Labyrinth is cool as optional end-game content, but sucks as the pre-req for ascendancy.

Also, it doesn't make any sense that you would 'ascend' after finishing a Labyrinth.

I think it would make much more sense (and be cooler) if you got the ascendancy points when you 'ascended' to the next difficulty.

This would also be an incentive to beat Malachai on merciless (Or whoever the final boss becomes in Act V). It's always a big let-down to beat the final boss and get no reward.
Face it, all of your suggestions are worse than this idea:

My suggestion as well. It pleases everybody except for GGG I am sure. They get some sadistic pleasure from forcing us to do their extra hard content.
I posted this exact thing elsewhere. Some of us hate the very premise and style of labyrinth and don't want to do it; don't make us.

2 points per difficulty after act 4, please.
