why do you use elemental overload when you use a crit ice trapper?

I don't use crit. I only crit with orb of storms to activate overload. If i wanted to go crit then i would use other points in tree. There are many critpoints for trapper. I go for life, non base crit.

no herald, playing without it, I already OS every pack. I'm temp chain + Clarity atm.

Here's the final gear i ended on with this build, got pretty expensive to get the dual curses to work but.. cleared pretty much everything(Uber, core malachai etc):



Could get some more damage from the rings/staff etc but not that much.

Also had to drop herald of ice in favor of 2 curses.

Only difference is pretty much the Deep Thoughts mana nodes, because of the staff and empower lvl 4, my icetrap is lvl 28 and costs 132mana.

It would be really hard to cap my resists with only a few rares and lightning coil, you kinda need atleast 2 30+ resists on gloves for my setup to reach the cap(unless you got godly gear). Would work if you went with carcass jack or rare chest though.
