The labyrinth is both boring and frustrating

Yep, boring as fuck.

Perhaps you should take a sex education class or something because I think you may be doing it incorrectly. :-)

It's such a versatile word. Since the poster didn't not add "ing" to the end it does not have the context you are suggesting.

Inserting it after an adjective is used to make the adjective stronger. So the adjective is "boring" and the poster is stating that the labyrinth is really really boring.

laby is the worst add for poe ever. u disconnect oooooh too bad redo from the beginning.

30min they say in wiki looooooooooooooooooooooooool i can't even clear lab in 1h
My internet drop for like 5~10 seconds when start to rain.

Amazing way to get a free 'start over again' the lab.

While I need to play lab I will not come back.
I like the idea. But it is tedious. My first success took six hours. After know what to do, I can rush it in an hour. But doing so I skip all the silver keys and side stuff.

Maybe for races, make a special race mode, or make it harder the second time you go though. But for average players, maybe shorten it and tighten it.

I do have hope it can be made fun.

Six hours? Like how the fuck man. I did it on my first try in 1 hour, and I was exploring all the areas. People are speed running it in 5 minutes. Its not the game man, its just you.

after checking your builds - not a single one of them looks balanced enough to beat Izaro. all glass, random stats, bad flasks

it is not the game that is difficult, nor the rain is the problem - your characters are not yet ready to ascend and that is the real problem
+1
..one of the best writen statements in this forum. I absolutly second this OP (especially #7)

Also have job, family and social life i though: Hey its sunday evening, i'll take 3 hours for me to play PoE and do the lab.

I went in with a marauder lvl 81, 5000hp and went in to get my ascendancy class. It took me 2 hours to get to the second last room also i tried to rush, went ito a very dark room and my 5000 hp where melted within 3 seconds by a trap almost invisible in this dark dungeon.

As i play PC-games since the early 90#s, i can tell you this was the most annoying and frustrating moment any developer/game was able to do.

I came here (PoE) to play a ambitious and challenging hackNslay/roleplaygame and found me back in some kind of Giana sisters.

Ofcourse it has to do with some sort of skill. No doubt about it. But if you are to clumsy to play e.g. gianasister the game will show you after 10 min. Then you can start to practise.
PoE-lab is more a punishment. It feels wrong investing precious time in game content that doesnt really fit in the rest of a very good game, got you spit out after 2 hours, left with nothing and says :"Hey try again from start"

As GGG is a studio that of course wants to make money with his games this seems the wrong way to make users support their game. A game studio should "sell fun" and not frustration. For me it makes me think about investing further money in this game, as content is locked behind such a "§$%ing labcrab. Other players with limited time but some cash to support GGG will think about this similar, i think.
Seems i'm not alone with this opinion as in the "feedback and suggestions"-forum the posts with most reads and posts are about the unbeloved lab/ locked content. If i want to play some hardcoremode i make a hardcore char.

Its ok if others finish it within 10 min, if with luck or with skill, but give players that cant play 6 hours a day and practise a chance to reach ascendancy in a less annoying way.

(P.S.:Sorry for bad english, im no native speaker.)

If you like repeating the same content over and over and trying to do it faster each time, play races.
If you like losing progress when you die, play hardcore.
If you like losing progress when you DC, play end-game maps.

The 5 minute figure is totally bogus. Even people racing on the labyrinth don't post sub-5-minute runs very often and those runs I'm sure are being made after multiple runs through the same lab layout in order to get close to 5 minutes. Looking at the normal lab ladder the 47th best time is over an hour. Just because other people don't speed through the game as fast as possible not killing monsters, not opening chests, not breaking pots, etc. it doesn't mean that the person doesn't know how to play the game or is playing the game incorrectly. Different people play the game different ways and as long as they are having fun then they are playing the game correctly. This is the labyrinth rub though because the labyrinth can't be fun to play for some people. So that means there is no "correct" way to run the labyrinth for those people.
Over 430 threads discussing labyrinth problems with over 1040 posters in support (thread # 1702621) Thank you all! GGG will implement a different method for ascension in PoE2. Retired!
My first run today was 6:34 ish
My 3rd run was 4:24.

And that's on a chieftain totem build, without any movement speed gear/passive focus, just using lightning warp. Proper lab builds on proper PC setups (i.e. RAM drive) should be under 3 min easy, at least for today's layout.

But even from a top 0.0001% perspective, the lab is boring and frustrating. I don't enjoy running it at all. It's just not rewarding enough.

A 1/364 rng crapshoot for the helm enchant you want in a below 70 level zone where you just run/pot through everything is such a retarded hamster wheel it's insulting. No challenge, no reward, no progress. If you get an OK helm enchant you override it with something useless if you want to keep looking for your desired enchant.

Skip a few pages in the ladder and you see the 30+ min runs, or 1 hour+ runs. If it's bad for someone running among the top speeds it must be insufferable for the playerbase at large. I don't know what GGG was thinking when they setup the helm enchants like this. Korean MMO grinders are more rewarding.
Never underestimate what the mod community can do for PoE if you sell an offline client.

Not like I said speed running is the correct way to play the game, I don't even do it myself. Just saying that it is possible. Also no one bothers to speed run normal lab. Look at merciless lab and you will see 1400 people did it in under 10 minutes.

Said no one that has ever actually played one.
