[2.4 Video Guide] Doomfletch Lightning Arrow, Blast Rain Raider [HC/SC]
Hey Lifting, what are your thoughts on Avatar of the Slaughter over Avatar of the Chase? Even without Darkray's or a +1 frenzy amulet the damage it gives far outstrips the bonuses from Avatar of the Chase, and scales with additional frenzy charges from gear, and gives me 18s duration on frenzy buff instead of the 3 seconds duration on onslaught that pretty much ties you to a silver flask for 1/3 of your ascendancy class. The only potential benefit I can see from Avatar of the Chase is that it gives more chance to evade, however this is multiplicative and unless I misunderstand the mechanics, relies on stacking huge evasion rating for the benefits, which is difficult with a bow build that uses Coil.

"If you would rather use Tornado Shot or Split Arrow instead of Tornado Shot, then I have two very similar guides for that as well. They can be found here:"
Shouldn't be: "If you would rather use Tornado Shot or Split Arrow instead of LIGHTNING ARROW, then I have two very similar guides for that as well. They can be found here:" ? I would recommend LMP in gems for leveling. Last edited by Whorten#5704 on Apr 4, 2016, 12:31:14 PM

Hi, I'm very new to POE and decided I would roll a ranger. I decided to follow this build, but I have a few questions. In what situations should I use which skills? For example when do I use Split Arrow VS Lightning Arrow VS Blast Rain and etc. I'm just not sure when to use which skill. Also, unfortunately during normal difficulty in the bandit quest I chose to kill all of them for the skill point, which means I can not get the 40 life from Oak. Will this severely harm the build later on when I get to endgame? Sorry, these questions might sound dumb but I'm not sure where else to ask. Thanks in advance.

" Split arrow for cursing, lightning arrow for aoe clear and blast rain for single target. Always curse (use split arrow) once before attacking with lightning arrow/blast rain depending on your target =) Weekly build guides: Youtube.com/LiftingNerdBro

Hey in the defensive affixes section you dont mention elemental resistances, only chaos. Is that right?
can this build be used with Voltaxic Rift or does it need to pick up more crit nodes due to low crit base?
" I'd also like to know this. I feel like Chase is really strong but only if you drop maybe the Basalt flask? For a Silver flask for the on-demand Onslaught buff during bosses. Otherwise you go Slaughter and while you do lose 11% attack speed and 6% move speed during Onslaught you gain 24% more attack damage, not sure which is better! |
" I was also confused by that, because on his current gear he has no Chaos Resistance lol |
" That is a mistake, thank you for letting me know. It has now been corrected. 1. Life 2. Elemental Resistances (75% on merciless) 3. Evasion 4. Strength/Intelligence 5. Chaos Resistance Weekly build guides: Youtube.com/LiftingNerdBro

Hey Lifting,
Thanks for the build, took it to 80+ and it was a lot of fun. It's pretty squishy at 80+ even with life and evade centric gear since there are very few life nodes near the build paths, but it's a lot of fun. Quick question for you, what do you recommend quiver wise? Prioritize +phys or +crit? And how do you think ele conversion interacts with the build? E.G. I have a Blackgleam and a so-so broadhead and can't see a lot of difference between the two. I'm wondering if it's worth sinking some chaos into a good phys or crit quiver if Blackgleam conversion hurts the totals, and just keep it to add fire pen to blast rain on maps with no fire resists.
