Lag issue

Hey there,

up to yesterday the game was playable without a problem. My ping was stable around ~50 or something. But starting today the latency shot through the roof. This is the WinMTR result when connecting to the server in Frankfurt (I am living in Germany, so this is the nearest one): http://pastebin.com/0yR4gddj

As you can see, my average ping went up by 100 on average. But this is not the only problem. After like 5 to 10 minutes of gameplay, I am usually kicked by the server due to an unexpected disconnection issue. Is there something I can do?

Edit: For clarification, I am using telekom as a provider and am connected to said router via lan-cable. I tried using a different lan-cable to no avail, but I did not try using multiple computers.

Cheers,

Same Problem here.

The funny thing is I live near to Frankfurt and a friend of mine living in Berlin has momentarily no Problems. Seems very weird.
i also live in germany, in european daytimes i cant even log in to the frankfurt gateway cause of hughe spikes. iam always logging in to milan or amsterdam gateway.

but today its horrible, pings from 200-9000, warping through whole zones.

which provider do u guys have? specialy bender30, i would guess u are at some sort of telekom, vodafone or whatever and ur friend is using a cable provider like unitymedia or so?
Yes, my provider is the telekom.
Same here, live in Darmstadt (30km from Frankfurt) and since yesterday have latency in the same range as original poster and get kicked from server every 5-10 minutes. No problems what so ever before.

Same issue here having a constant ping of ~180ms and get kicked out every 5-8 minutes. Also having Telekom als ISP.
same here, huge lag spikes, warping around map and/or spawn in mobs, aswell as dc. location is würzburg, germany, provider is (fkin) telekom ._. kinda reduced the lag by using milano gateway, still far from playable.. takes minutes to pick up or sell items.
I like turtles and cheesecake
same here... telekom too
This looks to be something either local, or with your ISP:
It doesn't start off great. Here is your first hop:

| speedport.ip - 0 | 376 | 376 | 2 | 3 | 27 | 4 |

3ms average response time isn't great, but if you are on a wireless network, that might explain it and the 27ms spike you see.You are hardwired, so it could just be background stuff, like other users. That's not earth shattering though. So long as things are okay from there on out you'd probably be fine. But, here is your second hop:

| 217.0.117.121 - 0 | 376 | 376 | 21 | 35 | 330 | 21 |

After you pass your home network, you are seeing an average of 35ms with spikes up to 330ms. This is before data has even left your local ISP network. People on especially good connections will see better results than this to the gateway. You can't even get out of your ISP network before you are seeing spikes, and climbing latency. It continues to rise from there until this hop:

|80.157.130.106 - 14 | 244 | 211 | 142 | 164 | 469 | 147 |

This is near the middle of your route, and not yet at the network layer hops. You see a drastic jump in latency. Big jumps in latency spikes, and you see massive packet loss that doesn't go away on any of the later hops. Bad.

I would check over your local gear to be sure. Power cycle any modems/router/switches in the house and re-run tests. If you are still seeing results like these, you are going to have to contact your ISP. By the time your data reaches network layer hops you have serious problems. It is going to be all but impossible to play with results like that.

Sorry you are having trouble OP. I can't explain why this just started, but the problems seem to exist long before your data reaches the gateway. :(

Have you removed Asus ROG/GameFirst yet?

its not alocal problem, its a problem between GGG/Telia and deutsche telekom and other big local country isps.
to telia, iam not even sure if its rly cause of them, playing snowstorm games which are also hosted by telia, and there are no problems. even when i trace the login servers, i got no problems until it goes exactly to "xxx.poe.xxx" adressed.

its not nice to play with this issues, can somehow handle to login on worse gateways through daytime, but at the moment its completely unplayable.

and again, it has nothing to do with some local stuff at us.
