[2.5] Greedy Roomba - MF Blade Vortex Assassin (63/329) - Atziri Viable - Solo T10+ (37/40) [Videos]

I started playing POE last league (perandus) and successfully did two characters; caustic arrow mf scion and low life blade vortex. I enjoyed a lot the magic find with the first one but enjoyed even more the clear speed/mechanics of the second.
Glad to see this build let me have both. Lv 39 shadow atm.

May I ask you tips for gearing from the start for mf'ing? Like... what to do buy first? Tabula? Sadimas? weapon? rings? amulets?

First things to buy are the cheapest IIQ items you can get: Sadima's, Perandus Blazon and Sentari's Answer. I got each of those for 1c or less with decent rolls. Then I managed to pick up Goldwyrm for only 8c. The amulet you craft yourself with alts or find a decent one to use until a good one drops, I am also trying to craft a cheap MF ring too, I need resists on it though and haven't got regals yet:

no. the only benefit would be if you apply bleed with whirling blades. youd be using it to apply fortify anyways though. doesnt really seem worth it overall. if you don't take this ascendancy, how will you get power charges though? could switch curses, but then youd need a life leech ascendancy like pain raeaver (berserker) most likely, and on power charge kill isnt super reliable against difficult bosses. alternatively you could maybe get a skyforth, but that is quite difficult. i dont think youd want to use links for any of this. you could also do an ES build with occultist, which i think might work out pretty well, but it would require very different passives. i might be tempted to try out his lowlife tree starting from witch if it wasn't a new league and i had a shavs.

Seeing as you are already using Poison then going for Noxious Strike will give you "50% chance to maim poisoned enemies" and "30% skill effect duration if you've killed a maimed enemy". So that would be a better choice over Ambush which only gives you +40% crit multi against enemies on the first hit, especially seeing as you would want to aim for Toxic Delivery when you get 8 points.

Hey i have a question: Can i run with the Life Based Version (no MF) Uber atziri? and can i use instead of a 2. dagger a shield? and what gems for a non-MF version?

hm what do you think of dropping either whirling blades or flame dash depending on if you have a dagger or wand. then you'd have cwdt attack that spreads poison? or would u just put it into your vortex link because then it would do far more damage. would that damage outweigh something like added fire?

I started the league pretty no life but now its monday so its time to slow down and be responsible.

I figured since i followed your guide id post my results.

I ended up moving away from some of the resistance nodes and to more damage or HP nodes. I felt really squishy and im thinking maybe MF isnt for me, I have such a hard time wanting to drop HP and DMG and spend currency on MF gear while my small group of friends are trying to push up map tiers.

Im also running a Curse on hit setup for warlords so i can run HoI and Hatred the shattering is so nice and i feel tankier this way.

Here is my gear so far in the league.


I have a decent MF neck and the suggested shield but I'm not sure that ill end up going MF or not, i am still using the rarity gem in my links mainly so when i switch to a 5l chest i don't get any dmg loss.

My next big decision is what chest to buy carcass, coil, Greeds. Guess ill have to decide on MF by then.

This is the life DPS tree - I think it could be possible, I was going to attempt it myself this league. You could use a Dagger + Rathpith for spell block along with Rumi's Concoction. For full damage the gems would be something like this:

Blade Vortex + Echo + Physical to Lightning + Controlled Destruction + Added Fire + AoE (or Conc).

For chest armour either Belly of the Beast, Cospri's Will, Lightning Coil or a good rare chest.



I also theory crafted a CI version it should have similar DPS, but have more EHP:

I keep both of them mainly for safety and clear speed reasons, whirling blades can't go over ledges or across gaps so I use flame dash to do that. You would want to use Poison on the actual Blade Vortex, either with Cospri's Will for free or with get support gem, I think poison is better for bosses than added fire (potentially).

That seems like a decent idea - you have BV + CoH + Warlord's for bosses and the rest of the time you have the curse from shattering mobs. It won't be as good for reflect maps, but it works. I found one I have blasphemy + warlords mark along with CwDT + Immortal Call I felt a lot more tanky, but levelling with DPS gear is smart, it's a lot faster and safer - you can decide on MF gear later once things are cheaper (usually).

Rumi's Concoction + Sentari's shield will give you a lot of survivability too.

For me a DPS chest would be Cospri's Will (expensive) or Belly of the Beast for 6k+ HP.
