Hello Errbody! Welcome to the fapcave! I want to introduce You my build for Incinerate Tanky MoM Hieropath Templar! The idea for this build is pretty simple: 50% of damage taken as mana before life. Also, I wanna revive the good'n'old Incinerate, wich was very op and fun skill to play, but after nerfs is forgotten. Now it's time to revive this idea! Original, the build was made for 2.0 version by KuteKitteh, so most of the credits goes to KuteKitteh as far as I just wanna continue this great idea. After Ascendacy update Templar gots Hieropath subclass, with very nice keystone "Divine Guidance" wich give us +100 max mana and "When hit, 10% of Damage is taken from Mana before Life". Combined with Mind over Matter and Mindspiral we can easy get up to 50% without any investments (mindspiral is cheap as poop).

Also, this is my first build. Please don't be mad at me. Don't beat, don't punch, just explain! :(

After reaching goal, finish up with scion life circle and/or fire damage/ele damage left to templar area... Or basicly take scion life earlier and skip some fire dmg or jewels to later game if u playing HC.

Well, here I'm not sure what gems GGG will add in Ascendacy, so lets build this thing as far as we can atm...

Incinerate Single Target (IN HELMET): Incinerate-ControlledDestruction-ElementalFocus-FirePene/CullingStrike.

GEMS EXPLAINATION

Why Did I put gems in selected items? 'Coz Hieropath Illuminated Devotion gives You additional atributes for gems socketed in Gloves, Boots and Helmet.

HELMET: 20% Elemental Penetration. Here we put our single target boss nuke for extra pene.

GLOVES: 20% Increased AOE. Our Orb of Storms is AOE skill wich got free increased aoe to spread our curses even more!

BOOTS: 2% Life Leech. So Basicly, its not worth to make 5l chest, coz as 5th link in chest You will put Life Leech anyway... Thats why we swap AoE Incinerate to chest only after we get 6l chest.

Wand/Shield os Your own choice to swap. Also there is PLEDGE OF HANDS idea, then You just need Your Pledge to have 2x3l

GEAR TIME

Mandatory Uniques:

Mindspiral - This helmet will give You huge mana boost (100-150), 5-10% of damage taken as mana before life, and point that enemies can't leech life from You. Basicly, Aim for 10% roll first, but If You will have 145+ flat mana roll, You can take 9% roll.

Karui Ward - Yes, UNTIL YOU DONT HAVE Q20 INCINERATE, THIS IS MUST BE AMULET. I know, we loose tons of sustain, but we really need it.


(Very) Usefull Uniques.

Lightning Coil - As We all know, damage mitigation OP.

Cloak of Flame - Cheaper and lower version of Lightning Coil. Usefull to be honest.

Pledge of Hands - Yes, 100% mana is OP for this build, 120-160 Spell damage is even more OP, still, it Will kinda break our build, since we need it 6linked. Why? Coz we have 2x3l setup, wich we will need to put into chest since lvl30 spellecho will bug our 3l setups, and we will put incinerate to PLedge of Hands. And YES, I know that SPELL ECHO DONT WORK WITH INCINERATE, We just need spelldmg and mana. Still I'm a bigger fan of Wand+Shield

I didint thought about any new uniques, since I dont really know them...

OTHER GEAR PIECES:

Gloves: Here is the hard part. We have BBBG or BBBB setup in gloves, so we must aim for pure ES but we have armour nodes. Basicly try to get ES Gloves with high life and res.

Boots: Armour one should be able to roll BBGR, it will be hard, but we can do this. In case of we cant, buy Armour/ES hybrids. In late game when You have 6l chest you can swap for hard armour boots where You will put your CWTD setup.

Wand: Spell Damage, %Fire Damage, Cast Speed, %Fire Damage leeched as life, as last maybe some Xdamage added to spells.

Shield: ARMOUR, ARMOUR, MORE ARMOUR, EVEN MORE ARMOUR, Hp, res.

Chest: Well, here we go. You can use Uniques mentioned above, or just high armour chest (RRGGBB for 6link, or CWTD Setup RRRR or RRRB.

Belt: HP, Res, Maybe some high +Armour is nice to see.

Rings: HP, Res, CastSpeed is nice.

Amulet: HP, Res, %FireDmg, %CastSpeed, %Armour maybe too. (After You have q20 Incinerate so You can change your Karui Ward).

Flasks: Some life flasks x2, preffer instant + half instant with some remove bleeding, Armour flask, Fire res flask, and eternal mana flask with faster recovery, also we can mix something to use Atziri's Promise and Lavianga's Spirit instead of mana flask.

Jewels: Well, For Unique jewels You can use:
Healthy mind. I dont think its really worth it, since we have no good spots for it and it's not worth to waste our life.
Spirited Response. For this jewel You need to use Rallying Cry, and we will use Enduring Cry so not really worth it, also we would need to take jewel note up from witch start.

Basicly, aim for rare jewels with %fire dmg, Cast speed (with fire skills or pure cast speed), Spell dmg, ele res, life, etcetc.

Tips and tricks:

* If You have lightning coil, its nice to take 1 extra node with Lightning resistance next to diamond skin
* Feel free to take +30 stat nodes, You can remove them after You will gear up (mostly 30dex)
* We are using Orb of Storms not only for curse spreading, but for crits. When Orb of Storms crits, we gain Elemental Overload (40% more ele dmg for 8sec, no crit multi, inci dont crit still).
* READ KUTEKITTEH GUIDE TOO. There is many things that may can help you and I didint put them in this guide since I wanted this guide to be "more mine than copied".

without faster projectile clear speed is reduced by alot with incinerate. Some interesting stuff for incinerate as scion: berserzek 1.5% leech , assassinn 1% crit + elemental overload with enough cast speed u can keep elemental overload up most of the time 40% more spell damage is alot, deadeye gives 1 extra projectile so u may even give up on lmp.

I dont think u need 2x incinerate for for trash and one for boss just swap lmp with slower projectile for bosses

Thansk for Your support. Well, I took hieropath with a reason to boost our MoM coz this is the build core. But Your swap gems idea is pretty decent and smart, I will think about it (then we will have free 4link in helm for additional cwtd setup).

so mindspiral is not MoM. its (5-10)% damage taken gained as mana when hit. so its not adding to mitigation, but it is helping recovery from the initial 40%MoM hit. as far as i know, the only other way to increase MoM is that amulet that gives 1%MoM per frenzy charge. 3 incinerates seems bit muchm but i like the LMP/slowerProj swap idea
Playing a Hierophant MoM Incinerater myself on the side in Perandus atm (just wanted to try the idea when Acendancy came out)

Elemental Overload is really nice for Incinerate, you should definitly go out of your way an get it - Orb of Strom can proc it reliable when needed. With this up you don't need an extra single target setup for Incinerate, swapping out LMP for Pierce is working just fine.

I don't think Pledge of Hands is a good idea for Incinerate because you sacrifice a shield, cast speed and the only slot where you can get proj speed. Pledge gives tons of mana and spell damage yes, but it isn't really worth the sacrifice i feel.



Currently i am utiizing Scold's Bridle on my Hierophant with a Vaal Molten Shell setup in it for heavy single target. I also choose to build around RF (dispite it beeing not very good in the current meta - but it is fun and i iike the style of the old school MoM Incinerater)

The damage is nice with a 6l, with a 5l and without Elemental Overload and good gear the damage is a little underwhelming.

The main idea what i really wanted to try out is the approach of creating a self perpetuating Immortal Call (permanent uptime). All you need to do this are following item and the Ascendancy passive Conviction of Power (25% chance to gain an endurance charge when you gain a power charge):




Romiras Banquet + Incinerate creates multiple power charges per second whenever it hits a mob (hits are calculated individualy) -> this combo grants you infinite Endurance Charges, perma uptime. With Scold's Bridle you deal damage to yourself until low level CDDT Immortal Call procs from Scold's or through damage taken from mobs and puts it on cooldown.
The immortal call with 6 charges up lasts ~4.2 seconds which is long enough for Immortal Call to go off cooldown and be active again. Within this 4 seconds where IC is up you only have to generate 6 Endurance charges again via casting Incinerate to perpetuate the cycle indefinitly (with 10 casts per second this is easily possible even against single target). Unless you get oneshot form physical damage you are safe against every physical threat out there with this setup while casting and hitting mobs.

Note:
If you wonder: Yes this setup works with the Juggernauts Ascendancy passive Unflinshing too. Here you don't need Romiras Banquet at all and gain a ring slot. Scold's Bridle is essential to constantly hit yourself while casting Incinerate.

Since i have unlimited power charges on my build i use this amulett:



It grants me permanent 5% damage taken from mana before life when hit (5 charges) and all stats a MoM build wants out there and a fancy purple charge effect which goes really well with RF.


The goal is to corrupt all your Jewelery (mostly uniques) and shield (Rise of the Phoenix) for 6% of damage taken gained as mana on hit. In addition to that you utilize 2 of this jewel on Rallying Cry:



With perfect corruptions on all your jewelery and shield and Rallying Cry up you have a 45% MoM combined with a 44% mana gain back mechanic attached to it. Basicaly this means you have a 45% effective damage reduction against hits (the last 1% is easily coverd be high mana regen) if you have ~1200 mana unreserved in almost all situations the game has to offer. MoM is always up and can never go down due to this mechanic because you can't go OOM while you are hit - Casting Incinerate is also "free" because you are wearing a Scolds Bridle which provides you with "infinite mana" ("Scolds Mana Battery")

If you would like you could call it a "superior fortify for wand/non dagger users" (or you could stack it with fortify :^) if you wish to do so)

Note:
With this setup you can do "no regen maps" with a MoM build without mana pots and MoM always working perfectly! This is insane if you think about it. (For sure you have to live without RF on no regen maps with my build sadly)



The mechanics and concepts presented here are very interesting and could be incorperated in many builds out there i feel. They are the result of many hours of theory crafting, playing and having fun with PoE - enjoy!

the main idea was from this thread , @Wiesl_1404 and ZenocideGenius's Stream

but a bit different im using void batteries (x2) for extra power charges that mean i get more Damage more MoM effect and lot of mana regen from Aylardex



(total 10 power charges from base +3, bandit +1, passive +3, dual void +2 ,The Aylardex +1)

and this glove give me even more damage

imo i think this is unnecessary expensive build but in Perandus lot of things are cheap
(force to go boot and belt with 35%+ tri resis with life and void batteries thing)
dps doesnt that good compared to this meta builds

e.g. Spark, Trap, blade vortex,earthquake ,LA and lot of chaos conversion builds
