[2.4] Bleeding Earth Berserker

Pros
- Strong
- Fast
- High hp
- Fun
- Great Labyrinth Speedrunner

Cons
- Requires an Atziri's Disfavour or a rare axe/weapon with bleed mod.

The idea is making a phys/bleed/dot Earthquake Berserker utilizing Atziri's Disfavour with lots of multipliers.

Main Setup: Earthquake - Melee Physical Damage - Melee Damage on Full Life - Less Duration - Increased Aoe/Conc Effect - Fortify

Less Duration and Conc will double dip damage, as well as the 40% more Aspects of Carnage node. Same goes for Physical damage i.e. from jewels or general damage from Flame Golem or Rallying Cry. We do not need much attack speed, since the secondary effect will only occur once. This allows us to focus on harder hits.

Vulnerability on Blasphemy is must have. To fully go into the dot theme we're running Herald of Ash - Increased Burning Damage on the remaining mana. Arctic Armor too.

Berserker nodes to take are Crave the Slaughter and Aspects of Carnage. The last two go into either Rite of Ruin or War Bringer. I decided to use the Warcry node because it's more interesting.

Tree

Gear

Stats: 6.3k hp, 70k eq tooltip, 10k armor, up to 78% inc movespeed, onehits pretty much everything

Not sure if a 'full life' version with Daresso's Salute is better or one with Frenzy Charges. Hard to tell.

Jewels should get Life and Physical Damage for double dip.

This build is a great Labyrinth speed runner! High damage and up to 78% increased movement speed before quicksilver.

Oppinions? Ideas? Critique? Let me know!

Cheers, Legasi

The skill tree no longer works, first :)
Updated into a 'real' guide.

I have been playing this build to level 60. Its my first play-through of poe. After playing Diablo for 200 hours, your build has made me realize that Path of Exile is a superior experience. The way you spec'd the skill tree made me realize the possibilities of the 'one big skill tree' mechanic. Your gem layout tough me a lot about linking and support gems. I managed to get my hands on The Blood Reaper at level 40, which made me realize the full potential of bleeding and AOE skil combo.

Now here is my main question: Why didn't you spec to the "Blood Letting" skill? Since it buffs the bleeding aspect and is really close to the spec'd skill tree.

Thanks for making this guide and best of luck to ya.

Hi, intersting choice for a first build.

I definitely agree that the customisation possibilities in PoE are unparalleled. That's what makes the game so fun.

I personally don't think bloodletting is that good. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad, but there are better options. You have to keep in mind that any increase to the direct hit damage also boots the resulting bleeds inherently (hit harder: bleed harder), while also increasing your clearspeed. Considering 2 of the 4 points required for the Bloodletting wheel have close to no 'value' (the 10 str travelling node and the 8% chance to bleed one) other options are strictly better imo. That being said, feel free to try it out ;)

Good luck man.

I believe it's about weighing value. Bloodletting is good, no doubt about it. Question is is it worth the passive points vs other things.

This genre is all about that really, weighing pros and cons and value of item and affix slots.
Legasi hits the nail on the head. The cost of travelling to it makes it not worth it.

Would you say this build is hardcore viable? Because I wouldn't...

This version has limited HC viability. Everything basically dies before it can harm you, but the ehp is a bit low for HC for my tastes. However, if you spec into Endurance Charges, Armor and use Kaom's/Coil/Belly and Taste of Hate etc I see no reason for this to not be HC viable.

2.4 updated. Slightly nerfed, still more than viable and very enjoyable.
