Personally i hate all that Roman or Greek Empire crap. I don't like their culture. Hope for Asian theme. Adding some PoE style Battle Realms theme into the game would be BAD'U ASS'U! (http://static.giantbomb.com/uploads/scale_small/12/128523/1761623-battlerealmscover.jpg)

Battle Realms is one of the best RTSes. Perhaps, a new act will be about journey to the east. With Yin-Yang and geyshas. And there are Maraketh to explore deeper too.

I love how PoE makes its cultural lore inspired from real civilisations, yet with twisting and shaping it in something different and unique. And Perandus aristocratic spin league is quite a nice addition to the Sarn and Empire lore.

Spelled "Artifact" wrong in the "Treasures of a Fallen Age" paragraph

No, they didn't. They are both correct, but one is from British English while the other from American English.

British English is an amusing concept. Its a way around saying English English I guess?
Sweet!

But what time exactly does the current league end? I was hoping for a day or two inbetween leagues to sort my stash...
wait..we can buy uniques by using perandus coin?!

Ok... I'll just be pedantic because I can, and the evil school teacher in me said I had to.

GGG - Pick a damn language ok. "Artefact" = British/Aus/NZ spelling, "Realized" = American spelling, and all in the one paragraph.... *sigh*

Cheers,
Matt.
There are 10 types of people. Those that know binary, and those that dont.
Oooh, treasure hunt, can`t wait :)!! Ascendancy, and ten o.o this league that just seems to hit my "my idea of a fun league spot" perfectly ^.^!

Besides the coins and Perandus trade part this is also quite exiting to me:
"they steadily acquired ancient and powerful artefacts from Wraeclast's past. Cadiro had these relics stashed in nondescript boxes, crates and vaults"
...what, it means that any of the crappy old containers have a slight chance of a league specific unique? That I should actually allways stop to loot them, even run back for them if missed some?
Very nice ,love having a league adding stuff to other than just enemies :)
I guess magic find will affect chances with those container drops?

Am I the only one that is kind of disappointed with this?

The announcement wasn't very detailed, it doesn't even say how you acquire coins.

Also there is no video trailer other than what we got yesterday. Which makes me thing that the league will be more about grinding to get coins to buy stuff than it will be about fighting. Yes there are the guardians, but I am not sure these guys will be tough enough/encountered often enough to make a real difference.

I am not a HC player person, but even I see how this will be bad for HC player. Compare this with the invasion or bloodline or even the beyond leagues. They had enemies all over the area that have new properties that can kill you and you have to be cautious all the time. Now once in a while you will get a guardian that you probably can just skip.

The fact that people are mostly talking about the portal effect/the boots/the challenges is a sign that something is wrong here.

Unfortunately, the change from split challenge leagues to synonymous leagues means that there's less to talk about in terms of interesting dynamics.

That, and introducing another trade mechanic (Perandus coins) is too reprehensible for me to want to talk about =(

That said, the other, more prevalent mechanics have already been discussed elsewhere: Ascendency classes, the Labyrinth, enchantments, etc.

So, the reason you aren't seeing that discussion is twofold: a) a lot of it's already happened and b) the caches/boss fights aren't something you're going to see a lot of discussion about until more of the playerbase actually experiences it.

As well, the trade announcement kind of eclipsed everything.
