[2.2][Ascendancy] IW ARC Templar Inquisitor
Hi all!!
For the upcoming patch i will be playing a variation of ZiggyD's 2.1 Tanky Iron Will Arc Templar. As far as i can tell this build should still be a very viable beginner friendly cheap setup to get started with in a new league. That said... this will be the first build I post and would appreciate any and all input that will help make this build better. This is what I'v got so far: Skill Tree:

Very simple here. No need for fancy unique's.
Get Max res and as much Strength Life and Armor as possible. This build supports all weapon set ups. dual wands, scepters, or shield setup. Shield setup will probably be best for high lvl maps. I haven't test any shields yet (any ideas here would be great. Flasks: Lots of new flasks being introduced in 2.2. things can change here as more info is released/tested. Bandits:

Normal - Help Oak
Cruel - Kill All Merciless - Help Oak Leveling:

Grab all the nodes in Templar first working your way to Celestial Judgment
After that work your way up to the Witch nodes and grab Elemental Overload followed by the Lightning dmg cluster. I suggest you don't grab the dual curse cluster until you are capable of running the curse on hit set up. until then self casting 2 curses is just slow. you should be able to kill everything with 2-3 casts of arc. once your done in the witch side. move your way down to the marauder nodes. grab all that strength and life/armor nodes. you can probably wait a little before grabbing the Endurance nodes. no reason to have up to 6 endurance charges until you are well past the 60's the same goes for skittering runes. no need to rush to get this until that dual curse set up is ready to go. Sanctify, Pious Path, Instruments of Virtue (Augury of Penitence for a more tanky set up???)

I've actually just come back to the game after quite a while, last I played was right after beta, and I'm messing around with Ziggy's tanky Arc Templar as well. Been playing in the last week that I've been back, and changing around a few things just for personal taste, and honestly it's pretty solid. For the next league I was considering going something similar to what you have posted as well, or possibly replacing all the lightning damage with fire damage and burn and going for a similar build with Firestorm over Arc. As for being able to sustain another herald spell, it should easily be able to, I'm only 61 but atm running through cruel I can pretty much endlessly spam arc as is, it only costs a little over 30 mana, and worst case scenerio, you can pop a mana flask charge before each pack and it'll work out.

I plan on doing an Arc inq build too. I did arc witch last league. I really liked using herald of ice, cold pen on arc, and call of the brotherhood. The freezing was super nice

Hi there!
I was just thinking 'bout the same "evolution" for this build. What about taking Righteous Providence + the new keystone Elemental Overlord spending just 3 more points on the tree, 'cause it would provide almost constantly 40% more elemental damage + insta shock. |
|
" the insta shock could be nice, however i think that's all that can be gained from that node. see ZiggyD's vid on Elemental Overload. you'll notice it almost always up with just Orb. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YUD-oL3RnZw |

can you refresh skill tree?
