Inquisitor Templar Ascendancy will RUIN PvP, do something plz.

+1

You could be more accurate in the wording of your quote, it is "Critical Strikes ignore Enemy Elemental Resistances" and not defense (your wording suggests that it would work against something like arctic armour, but it doesn't)

This close to the release I think GGG already knows if they can have the time to look into this before the patch, so we would like a quick answer to that.

If it's just later, then any estimate would be nice. I know GGG doesn't like to make promises about undecided matter, but any answer on spending a bit of time on the most problematic stuff would be possible any time soon, would be nice.

The thing is, if nothing is done before the release, the next patch will probably take months to come as pvp is not a priority (we understand that). By that time it will be too late, everyone will be gone or playing only templars.

That's why I'd like an answer from the devs on that specific subject, god knows there is ton of OP stuff in other ascendancys but this one is the more broken pvp wise especially with the stat of the game right now.

If the devs plan to modify a major aspect of the game like crit and don't want to communicate about it for now a simple " Don't worry about this, we got it covered" will be enought.

Until they come up with a fix, which wont happen in a week or so, I suggest you simply use "house rules" not to exploit this flaw. If someone does exploit it... just write the troll off as an ass and move on to more enjoyable battles.

If only the community was this comprehensive, but we are talking about a F2P game here. Don't expect anything from anyone in this kind of environment.

Emergency pvp fixes have been done in the past (Bear trap, Righteous Fire, Cold to Fire EA bug, ect...) we ask for the same thing here.

If PvP is really not that important, it won't matter if this specific notable is nerfed while they are looking for a better solution. I think we can all agree that it's better to gimp one ascendancy sub class for a temporay period than straight killing the 18 others.

It wont ruin PvP. It's already RUINED!
If anything, this will just add to the list the type of builds that need to be fixed.
Could change the wording to "ignores monster's elemental defenses on crit" and make it so it only applies to monsters, not characters

Yes pvp meta is terrible (worst it's ever been) at the moment but still some players try to make it work the best that they can.

But this is something different, all the veteran players (and by that I mean players who's been doing pvp since CB) agree that this specific ability will be gamebreaking and that pvp will never recover if this is put in the game as it is.

That's a pretty nice temporary fix indeed. Obviously, i'd like Inquisitor to stay powerfull like the other subclasses but right now it's just way too superior.

i agree with that too, this passive node needs to be adjusted for pvp use.

Couldn't the PVP community get together and decide not to play these builds? I remember in D2 at one point people would consider it bad form if you used potions and the community basically shunned you if you were caught doing it.

Unfortunatly the community is full of immature people abusing everything they can just for fun (like Explosive Arrow since almost two years).

playing the way that give you fun is immature. xD

Get the duct tape ready to smush your right click down.

sarn arena 24/7 spark Templar gogo

Would GGG count that as botting?

ok, so if it's just holding right click down it's fine right?
duct tape meta is a go.
Never underestimate what the mod community can do for PoE if you sell an offline client.
