Thanks man! Maybe in December you can give it a go again, we'll see how PvP looks then. It's time of the pathfinders right now, so I'm just letting them have their fun and casualing it up at the moment.

Going to try to do a 1h build with a leg kaoms when blade flurry comes out, but we'll see. Could also use the helm on a hierophant (20% ele pen in helm) kinda like my duelist and keep static strike in helm for 100%light dmg in addition to the all phys/chaos EQ. We'll see, could be fun!

WALL OF TEXT INCOMING

Hey guys, haven't updated in a while and I've gotten a few messages lately of people curious.

I fell in love with Steel Rings with Essence of Hysteria mods on them (Gain 10% of Physical Damage as Extra Fire Damage). This is an amazing mod for my build and all other RT builds. 2 of them is basically free Herald of Ash (no overkill), or if you use HoA then you're 40% gained which is crazy for us.

I spent all Essence Hardcore league doing a budget Ancestral Warchief Tri-totem build. Not an original build, just super budget and just meant for farming/doing all bosses and not dying. I started EHC a little bit late, but when I did Exalted were only about 25c, so I farmed up unids/drops and just kept buying Ex and parking them. Once Ex went up to about 45c, I started selling and buying Hysterias for about 5-7c each and I would RIP them to standard at 5-10 intervals.

I used over 130 Essence of Hysterias trying to make something usable for my main character.

This one is definitely good enough and I'm keeping:

The int/life/fire res is great, open prefix for some more flat, and I yolo'd strength - not useless, but not amazing. Will definitely upgrade later if Essence does in fact come to core game.

This base is the closest to "the dream" I could get:


3 great prefixes, T1 phys, T2 life, and Essence of Hysteria mod. I spent about 50ex meta-modding trying to get something GG for myself and I got allres/mana regen which would be useful for AW or Shield Charge builds. If it doesn't sell for what I want, then I'll just wipe it and keep going on it. Very curious to see if these mods will make core game. I love them!

Wrath Twirl is amazing for what it is, but it will get phased out hopefully by another Hysteria Steel ring with solid res/int/ias.

Updated 2d and 3d art. I can't believe I actually own those gloves, I've always wanted them but never thought I'd have them. Boots aren't mine but a buddy is letting me borrow them for a while ;)

Essence in core game, holy shit. I know some will be nerfed, but I think hysteria is pretty off the radar. I'm hoping to either craft another ring for myself or if by the grace of god someone actually makes a ring I want, I will pay a high price for it.

For anyone reading this thread and might be curious and feeling like Hysteria spamming Steel Rings, I want the following traits, and will pay 100ex+ depending on rolls.

A phys/chaos dmg based melee char fighting a ci death's door glacial cascade miner. Sure! What could go wrong? Lol

It's a 5-5 match up man, no worries. Don't get 1 shot and you basically won.



Seriously though it's an easy 4-6 if the guys gear is anywhere near good. Melee loses to a miner of that caliber with today's trap/mine options. It's very hard now to sweep the ground avoiding a 1 shot (even with Brass Dome if there's enough mines/traps) when there is plenty of multi trap, reduced cool down, huge trigger radius options. So the time to capitalize on the downtime between a trap cluster being there or not being there is very small. Add most likely winter enchants and a few cwdt/cws options that probably shred your life pretty fast too. The time it takes to swap hands to sweep the floor is already too long, you need a on hand option with Herald of Ash that also doesn't get you killed for using it. Basically like most things in this game, play ranged i.e Lacerate/bow/caster or be a martyr in melee range trying to deal with poor balance. He can probably tank several hits from you as well, making room for error that much smaller.

Yeah, I know the deal. Appreciate it, I'd just have to chEAz, the rest is RNG and level layout. Sucks that it doesn't even change the level after a few rounds like it used to. Shit's grim. Just for clarification no disrespect intended to the dude, I'm down to play I'm just afk about 99% of the time atm. Holidays/work/shit, bumpin' threads from the phone - the usual.

Lack of level rotations definitely had a negative effect on most match balance.
