Nice build. I'd like to revive my MF Templar but I mostly run solo (need more friends ;). I was previously using Incinerate Totem build, grabbing as much totem and elem/fire nodes as I could. I also had around 7 jewel slots to fill in the resist needs and more offense.
It worked fairly well but I wanted to use flame totem (and get rid of spell totem) and pick up some crit nodes. However, I had mana problems with flame totem. How do you avoid mana issues with this build? When moving fairly quickly, I couldn't keep dropping new flame totems.
Any specific recommendations for using this as a solo MF? I'm still fairly new-ish and not good at making builds. I'm thinking of using jewels to add more totem/fire/spell damage/crit (with resists of course). Take out 2-3 jewel slots from this build to pick up some additional offense nodes but not sure which would be best.

mana problems :
use only purity of elements + clarity + mom
that is setup for lvl 75+ (test if you need clarity what lvl or will mom make problems if ye then remove mom and play safe like super safe)
goal is to get with lvls better gear - jewels to fix the need for element auras and to reach state where you don't need them
and put on only grace
50% mana for aura and 50% free
grace is end game you don't need anything else(no mom/clarity), only mana pot that you need is divination distillate
don't be afraid to use it
you need to cast few totems pop distillate (cull mobs to get charges) repeat
well i hope it will help you now for the next thing
if you want dps you must sacrifice mf and some life it's hard to make those decisions so i decided to make pure tanky flame totem mf as it's seen here.
you will have to change links - remove rarity, quantity, gmp and put fire pen, controlled destruction and elemental focus
change tree to
remove andvarius rings try to swap them for good ventors (change gear - mf gear is really scary for life and res so fix with rare gear what you can't with unique) and you will get flame totem build with a bit mf so be happy with 300/80 mf if you manage to sustain that much
I'm sorry having to say it so straight, but this build is terrible.
1.
The only thing it does is culling, no dps, no auras, no curses, no defenses. And, with the entire tree at your disposal you manage to get... 5k hp?
I'll give you some numbers for comparison.
1.1 My BM support-culler has 13k ES and can run 11 party buffs. Not only has about 2.5 times more EHP, but also more phys mitigation, increased max res, much more movement speed, and shares these buffs with the party.
With best gear ES tops at 13-16k ES. But 10k is pretty easy to achieve.
A mana support-culler has about 2k more es than mine, so we are talking about 15-17k es with top gear, and a floor of 12k at lvl 90. And still provides 9 buffs.
If someone followed the path of "the only thing I'm going to do is cull", and went CI, probably could reach +20k, 4 times more durable than your char.
2.
The relation between IIR and IIQ is also bad. 600 IIR is ridiculously high, and last 200-300 barely do anything for you. If you are going to hit diminishing returns for MF, at least balance it a little and get more IIQ instead of IIR.

but it works what it meant to do on hc life is around 9k cos you use koms and mf is around 400/80 but its std man duble beyond maps are my speciality

this is not solo build it must be in party to function properly
and it does what it meant to do
if you check my gear is perf but you don't need to go perf to have crazy mf with my build
you can just use the cheapest you can find and it will work
build mf for less than 2ex easy with my build
its 4l viable on hc life is around 9k cos you use koms and mf is around 400/80 but its std man 2-10 uniques per map in a nice party and duble beyond maps are my speciality
on my build
you don't need shavs or to go low life or es gear
because you can't get nice gear cheap it would cost you mirrors to achieve 600/127 on es
es would go for aura bot but i would not try to force mf on it would never be as good as pure mf
THIS IS A PURE MF.
it for the glory of rngesus 600/127
and 700/107 for dominus
cos fuck it on low life you will have 1.5k life just nice for dom runs :)
