Content.ggpk error

This is total BS!
Got that error now, deleting and "restarting to patch" doesnt work, with all described measures.
Cmon GGG get ur s**t together! Such an old bug without fix, feels like Blizzard :<
Now I gotta redownload the whole game <.<

Only porblem 8mbit internet. Thats not cool :/

if you got a crippled bandwith i recommend using the standalone client. on patch releases it can download individual files and patch them into the resource file.

the steam patcher can't patch individual files but needs to download the chunks of the zipfile that are different to the version ggg released, which are larger.

same here. corrupted content file, Cannot play the game. patch server wont connect.
maybe this a divine sign for me to stop buying points and stop playing this game...

sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. ;)

...which just means don't try and over analyze everything and turn it into something else. if you want to quit just admit that you were probably already thinking about quitting for a long time for some other reason. the game getting corrupted wouldn't make you suddenly leave if you really wanted to be here.

aside from that try to run the packcheck file in the game directory. it might fix the file problems. if it doesnt then reinstalling may be your only solution.

Happened to me today.. the ggpk was read only for some reason.. just open properties and uncheck the read-only box.. apply and you are good to go

I got the same error today. Old thread I know, but thought I'd put it out there that it can still happen. I'm blaming mine on all my Rage-quits, lol. Not sure if that can cause corruption, but that's all I've done that could've caused; that I know of anyway.

Not a huge deal, decent internet, but is a pain in the ass, lol. Not mad at you though GGG, not for this anyway. ;) Keep improving, you already have one of the best games around. :)

didnt have to delete and redownload anything at all!

just starting the game as an administrator fixed it for me completely (used to just double click to start and that content ggpk error bullshit came up but when I right click open menu and start as an admin it starts normally)

Nice thx for broking my l;age in the day when season start uare fuckingre atrded pseudo company. giving patch 4 h b4 sesons start like fucking retardards new in the buisnes. normal serious companys like blizzard allow ppl to download patch at least week b4 playing but noo lets be brainless retards and give ppl patchnotes and patch few h b4 realeseso ppl instead of playing will be reading that shit and downloading patch. nice logic. oh and p
