I'm not sure of that. When i read comment, i see things like "i could do a necromancer for the minion, but an aura gardian will make minion very resiliant", and other stuff like this.
Some tree will maybe be obvious one... But it don't mean that they will be the most efficients.

It could be a tree that allow you to use some unique more easily. Like, i can imagine a Gardian or an Occultist be more able to use Midight Bargain than a Necromancer, Gardian because of the bonus on reserved life, Occultist because better ES. They will maybe not be better summoner, but they could be very good (and maybe do something else good too)

This could be true to others builds, too. I'm sure we will see very good build with some tree that aren't the "obvious ones"
A bit out of topic,i hope some day there will be a power leveling option.
Like when you have the gear to be op until the end of merciless and you have to do the same 4 acts 3 times just to test a new build.
Some people may like it but i think the option to jump difficulties should be there.
You could add something like "reach level 95 with 3 players" to unlock the power leveling or could be a permanent league thing only.
Finally CI melee is back.

Let's not forget that builds that rely on curses are locked out of party play. Rely on Enfeeble for defenses and you're like a paper bag when enemies aren't enfeebled? Better hope that maxblock aegis aura tank doesn't kill your enfeeble with his conductivity curse! Rely on Warlord's for the leech? Oops the CoC party member just knocked it off with his Assmark.

Playing curse builds is nice and strong, but it's a little disappointing that I pretty much lose all of that strength when entering party play.


Yeah. That's a problem too. The thing is, if you make enemies get 1 curse per character, it would be INCREDIBLY OP in parties...
I find solo play more enjoyable, but well, Curse Builds are really underpowered and unpopular right now, but I see so much potential on them. I would like to play a Curse focused build. Defense/Synergy, etc etc. But maybe it's far from the current state of the game.

nobody will be making a curse central character in this game until they change the boss resistance to curses.

curse resistance maps and packs are not an issue. no trash is any issue for any end game build. but its bosses having 60% reduced curse effect.

sure curses are great and i always run at least two on every build i do, but i'll never depend on them and nor should anybody playing this game. not because of curse resistant packs but because of every boss in the game reducing your effectiveness by 60%.

We already have enough increased curse effectiveness to counter bosses resistance, and this class will probably give us extra curse effectiveness. You can already almost shut down a boss with temp chains and/or enfeeble.
