Nice.

also, slightly *caugh* offtopic:

Got my Art Prints today, they are great. I wasn't 100% convinced of all of them when they were in the News Threads, but on photographic paper they do look great.

It almost felt like a fotoalbum of beloved relatives and friends (says the no-lifer ;)

Sorry to say that but , look at me not giving a damn.

we had nothing for Halloween nor thanksgiving, but they get this

Brazilians got a translation at the expense of a new trade system.

I think your South American shoe shinning has limits and it would be time to make the game shine in general, not just for a small group of people

(note: i stayed polite and constructive as much as possible)

I can't believe you are "butthurt" over a firework.

You know how childish it sounded your first line? "'MOMMY' we had nothing for halloween nor thanksgiving, but they get this, 'buaa buaa'"

I'll give you some facts that may clear your mind:
- GGG is trying to expand. They have already increased their "man power" and they want to expand their game to new markets.
- Brazilian translation was the first of many. They already stated they will work on other translations like spanish, french, german...
- But why brazilian translation first? Even brazilian currency being heavely undervalued right now (about 4:1 dollar and 5:1 euro) it is a huge market. According to statistics brazilians are the number one on time spent every day on the internet, they also spend a lot of money on games. On top of that Brazil has a population of over 200 million (more than all countries from South America together)
- Many new players from Brazil showed up since brazilian translation, people who weren't even aware that this game existed before.

It is true that translating something = time spent = money "lost" (read invested), but translating it also = expanding market = making more money, money that will be used for updates and game improvements.

I personally don't like consumable MTX, but some people do... I also know how weird is "celebrating" something that is completely out of your reality (Carnival), try to think how weird it was for people from south hemisphere (South America, Australia, <s>Africa</s>) "commemorate" the "Winter Box" at 30º degrees... That is how a global game works I guess.

As i said a hundred times, i have nothing against the MTX, its the whole brasilian shoe shinning that pisses me

About your first remark about expanding the market, consider this:

If John has a pool with a hole in it, should John keep adding water in his pool or fix the hole before and then fill the pool?

I understand what you are saying, but it's not just John. They have teams and each team has different assignments.

Try to look this way:

The 'Global IT' company is having trouble with their new software. In order to fix it as fast as possible they are convocating ALL their employees to work together, even the janitor, the lady who clean the bathroom, the watchmen and every other employee with ZERO coding knowledge.

Do you think that would be optimal?

Take note that all those employees are important aswell, but they work in other areas.

I think the main idea here is "cost-benefit". I understand that you wanted them to stop everything and fix in-game problems before try anything new but cost-benefit wise that is not interesting for them... Althought it has bugs, the game is working and investing in a team to expand the marketing seems more interesting to them than hiring a thousand coders to fix a single problem. Thinking as a company it is perfectly reasonable.

YaY!! Bought some, thanks GGG :)
Here in Holland we also have carnival but that ain't nothing compared to the Brasil version (we basically get as drunk as possible and act as stupid as we can) so.. go Brasil, show the world how to party!
Btw, we should have a MTX that turns the witch (or other female chars) into hot Brazilian dancers!

yay, this! +1
