Then again, I can finally try out an Essence Drain/contagion char.

In the end i think i've decided to not bother with this. Waking up to see that people finished the race in 3 hours (and that 200 people have finished it as opposed to 0 at this point last time) just turns me off completely. It's too bad because i was really looking forward to this race, to a massive challenge like last season's 24hr BLAMT. This looks more tedious than challenging, and just pretty bland in general.

Overall easy race, but ice clouds seem stupidly overtuned by the end of A4 and in cruel. I could literally face tank malachai but cloud would kill me in 4 seconds with sapphire flask up. I basically died to lag in this cloud in A2 cruel.

Seems like death by the Galvanizing Frost is possible during grace period.

You can just run past the frost clouds, and the only thing that seems to slow people down is boxes.

Well, when the frost clouds are stacked over a large portion of the way you need to go, both forward and behind and they do around 500dps with 75% cold ress, it is not as easy as it might seem.

Were they actually cold damage? It seemed more like a DOT, like Dom's Blood Rain, with a different skin. Cold res didn't seem to do much, if anything.. =0[.]o=

I assume it is cold damage. Lack of cold res makes them kill you even faster.
Maybe it just has huge pen value.

It is time from race start, not when you created character.

Afaik it counts from the start of the race, not from character creation.

Everything went rather smooth without any close calls up until Dominus. Insane cloud density and pathetic fps made the fight almost not doable for me (I regret not rolling totems or CA, just for safety at boss fights). Very doubtful that I would manage to kill kaom and malachai with <15fps, where you have even less space to maneuver and even more things to dodge... so yeah whatever, no godlike PC = no fun.
