no, they just did what people asked them to do (on reddit): prioritize effects for flavour of the month skills. because most players use them anyway they will be more favoured by players.

When GGG develops a system for customized effects, is when they hit the real jackpot. Would totally pay for true customization of skill effects. In 4 years I haven't seen a single interesting effect, + the fact that there will be 1000 people with same effect is a downer (or maybe it's just me who would like just another "raw" effect not this colourful "epic proportions" bullshit). I'm at 100$ for stash tabs, but still never bought anything else. So when it comes to me, the microtransactions have never really worked out.

Blade Vortex MTX, skulls insted of blades flying around you would be awesome.
