More of Your Questions Answered!

Chris i am always supporting you, but now you are wrong:
Auction house is needed but not in form of Diablo 3 AH.

Best solution: One Marketplace instance where u can list your items for trade, ppl join this instance for search on listed items to trade, and invite you for specific trade transaction! Only when u join Marketplace instance u can commit trade transaction! I am sure u agree with me that this is one of the best solution and actually very easy to implement!
(should be ready after Ascendancy, post-patch)
This instance can be called Auction Guild/House/Marketplace - just for fun.

Good luck. Contact me if u need additional mechanic explanation.
FOR THE GLORY!

Are custom (paid) leagues still something you'd like to see done?

Yes. It hasn't been prioritised yet as it doesn't add content to the core game itself. Now that the core game is looking pretty meaty, this is the type of thing we can investigate in the future. Do people still want to pay for custom private leagues?

This depends on how much one can customize the league. Would one be able to enable/disable and/or increase/decrease the frequency of various "mods" such as Exiles, Shrines, Corrupted Areas, Masters, etc? If so, then I would wholeheartedly say, "Yes, I would pay for custom private leagues." While I enjoy the base game, I preferred most league mods when they were the active league (once they get folded into the core game their frequency all but disappears), and I really enjoy some of the race mods (like EE and Ancestral). So for me, I'd go custom in a heartbeat, if I could fine-tune things a bit.

Do you have any plans for adding different skins to the UI? Or adding a MTX just for the UI so that we could change back and forth?

This is a possibility in the future but we don't plan to do it soon. Would it be popular? Does anyone else want this?

Yes, if I can get the globe girls back.

I'm very behind the idea of paid Leagues. Their mentioned addition to the game was one of the main features I was excited about back in Closed Beta. I can't argue against the point that it fractures the community to a larger degree than it currently is but I feel that this can be overcome.

The implementation I see in my head is similar to the dedicated server browser from Source games, a list of paid Leagues that can house a decent number of players at a time where you can choose the combination of League mods that interests you most. A recent, if somewhat unpolished, example of this is Ark: Survival Evolved.

I'm not familiar with how Path of Exile's server infrastructure is configured so I'm not sure how the number of Leagues affects things, like if each League is run on a designated physical host - changing that implementation would be mind-numbingly difficult and not worth the effort. If things are predominantly virtualised then it becomes easier, in my mind, to allow users to create and manage paid leagues through a web-interface - like most dedicated server hosting platforms offer.

I'm rambling but the point is that I would seriously consider getting a paid league with my friends, especially if the functionality existed to allow any subset of the community to join.

There's also some cool metric capturing potential in there somewhere.
Do you think youll sell a hardcover version of the comic?

As a 99.9% sf player I am really worried even without automated buyouts trade will become easy enough the game will have to focus even more on the economy in terms of balancing drops, monster damage etc.

If trade improvements force a much greater focus on trade will there be any chance at that point for a self found league?

Honestly hearing that there will never be the ability to buy an item from someone who is offline at the time, ie an actually profesional AAA style trading system, makes me seriously consider if i want to continue playing this game.
Honestly, hearing that you cant read makes me happy you wanna quit this game.

Seriously dude, Chris said no auction house but a couple of answers before he said they are working on forum trade... which is basicly offline trading

Well then please be so kind as to explain to me what you think the difference between buying an item through the forums while your both offline and an auction house is because asynchronous instant buyout trading appears to be the definition most people around here use for an "auction house" and asynchronous instant buyout trading is really the definition of a trading trading system in any modern professional game.

Forum trading:

seller: POst item, with desired price
buyer1: offer equivalent value item
buyer2: offer x amount of currency
seller: can decide or/& barter with offerers

Auction house:

Scenario1

seller: new player post item way undervalued
buyer(sniperbot): buys within a second the item
buyers(human): lose
seller: lose

scenario2

SniperBot: buys all the undervalued items that are posted then sell them at a higher price

economy: hyperinflation

dude if you have played diablo3 you should know that a direct buyout auction house is a cancer for economy, its always taken over by bots

GGG wants to keep the interaction between players
ZiggyD is the Labyrinth of streamers, some like it, some dont, but GGG will make sure to push it down ur throat to make you like it

Are there 'really good vendor recipes' that haven't been discovered yet? Asides the whole trollish fishing and albino rhoa feather shit…

As an example, there's one that yields a very powerful sword.

A very powerful sword? The Goddess Unleashed Eternal Sword ?

Damn, you have no idea how painful it is to read that. 5 years ago i got interested in PoE in part because of the paid league feature. Here we are 5 years later, and you're asking if we still want it, which makes it clear that 0 work has been put into it. That's a shitty fuckin realization let me tell you.

And not only that, but by the above, if not enough interest is garnered here in the announcement backwaters of the forums, it will be completely shelved, after years of "yes it's still in the plans".

Yes Chris, i still want paid leagues...

I did play diablo3 and its economic problems where infinitely more complex then just having an auction-house. I also played WoW and in that game an auction house is a core and thriving part of the game.
