This post brought me to some memories.

Please guys - rethink the weird strategy of constantly adding a new skills, and forgetting about the old ones. Please take a look at "Ice Spear", "Discharge", "Spark" skills which was a one of the leading skills once before before turns now into low damage, squishy builds..
With the "1h 6L wipe" the PoE turns to a joke now.
There is no sane reason for one to play it any further.

Was D2 perfect? The answer is 'No' unless you're blind with nostalgia.

PoE is a step further from D2 in the right direction, that alone makes PoE a better game.

Old sockets are still better for us color blind/weak peoples.
Wow man thats a blast from the past - Alpha was fun back then.

The cheat codes to kill everything on screen were great fun while they were enabled...

Chaos (the area prior to the creation of maps. The chaos "map" exit would make a new instance at a higher monster level...and would just continually respawn a new harder instance (no map collecting needed or devices needed). I remember playing these for hours...group play was really fun back then specifically because of this.

The challange to see who could get the most Shaders generated was fun.....

Lots of texture seam problems

One big chat (no separate trade chat, guild chat etc...) made chat chaotic with LFG/WTS spammers!

The chromes did look much better back then than they do now....

Ohh and the wipes,..there was lots and lots of wipes, there was always a race at every wipe.

Things were simple back then...no auras, no totems, no golems.. just raw primary skills and some primary supports...no lockstep...lots of lag, disconnects, timeouts....

LOL no guild features back then either...no shared stash, no friends/guild list, made things interesting...
We even run the first "Guild Event" back then, "The Naked Mile"...new hardcore characters, self-found, no armor allowed (shields ok), ...good times.

For the "retro" players out there!
GGG forgot to improve the stuff thats never been improved since alpha.. All act1 mobs and bland areas..

Act2 still looks great but act3 :X ..and act4 with its enviroments are vastly superior to act1 which is almost as alpha..

Its like half game is great, half is not great.. and some areas in between.
I swear if they make some maven "Simon says" insta-death minigame, sirus, exarch ball minigame then i wont play poe2.

Game has come along way since early alpha. Still miss old lightning nova though Chris !
Love your guys work, And im glad your initial investment has paid off.
