move your cursor on firestorm gem and u see what Keywords it has. firestorm for example: Fire, Spell, AoE, Duration. i think that answers ur question. trap is just way of trigering the linked skill. fire dmg also improve tool tip dps of firestrom in this build but doesent effect poison, unless u put poison support gem in to mix

Thanks. I did allocate 2 of the nodes previously and didn't feel it did anything to duration. Now I've allocated more and see it does increase it. :)

I tried Bino's today for mapping and didnt feel its power too well. Abyssal Cry does the job for better aoe clearing. I rather use Saffel's Frame in offhand. Also Im not using EB since I can manage my mana with mana flask.

Auras for atziri farming: AA / clarity lvl 5 or so

i'm level 70 now and bosses are dying super quick, but the 4 second cooldown on abyssal cry is already holding my killing speed on trash back quite a bit.

Welp i am trying this build and to be honest i love it i was able to buy these 2 jewels i think they are AMAZING for the build let me know if they are any good...

What you want on jewel (not counting life) is chaos and area damage. Proj and trap damage are fine because they still double dip, but they wont scale abyssal cry.

I would agree the build has a very good dps, but i find the clear speed lacking as soon as A4M. The delay on the trap trigger and the CD on trap and cry are holding me back a lot and i can t imagine finding myself in high level maps forced to use a trap a stranded mob. Full clearing crema type maps must be a pain.

Right now all I can think of is to drop the CwdT setup and get another trap going on. Deerstalker seems prety bad in maps, fire nova mine is cluncky and won t take advantage of a lot of our passives. The only setup I can think of that doesn t totaly suck is magma orb but I ll have to test to see if I like it s behaviour linked to a trap.

The speed in upper tier maps isn't great...but its not too bad either. The strength of the build is that rares/uniques/strongboxes/bosses die instantly. If you're still waiting on the abyssal cry cooldown for aoe you can just throw another trap.

Im actually running into the opposite problem fairly often...the trap kills everything within range of abyssal cry before I can cast it so once I cast it it has no effect. I have to move ahead of where I threw the trap to still get the screen explosion. You can probably replace CD with multiple traps if you're really worried about AOE clear speed.

Doing this build at the moment, and loving it. Ive always loved traps so this was perfect for me.

However, in leveling im doing the target crit build and will prolly change possibly to acro end game will see how I go.

But leveling wise did people head into Witch or ranger/scion after filling out the shadow trap dmg nodes?

Any advice would be appreciated ;)

Using BF + poison + multi trap in deerstalker boots will change to Firestorm in the boots at 53 with my consuming dark ;)

Maybe my gem levels? my firestorm tooltip is showing 5991dps

I throw 2 traps on each one, and another 2 more before they pwn me.

I only get them to 75-50%

u srsly try uber on lvl 76? coime on u know the answer yourself why u cant do double uber vaals
btw get an infernal mantle for the remaining 25% chaos conversion and +1 firegems
