Mana Sweep in Median XL is a zero mana cost 'EMP' style radius blast that damages nearby enemies based on mana missing and steals back a % of missing mana from each nearby enemy.

Its PoE incarnation could have a much shorter range. When you are out of mana, stand in the middle of the largest crowd you can drum up and press this button!

Witches are a joke compared to other classes.

Marauder's and Ranger's utility, sustain and/or tankiness and kill speed is way too high compared to Witches, which only excels at damage and utiliy with huge mana problems.

Marauders and Rangers can use Life leech, Warlords, Life on hit, %life leech on items, Life per hit on items. Rangers have stupid attack speed and can abuse of life per hit. Marauder's probably even laugh at mana costs with Warlord's. Spellcaster witches can only benefit from Life Leech support.

I rolled an HC Ranger in 0.9.5, she is lvl33 right now, it was a bit hard at the beginning but she is scaling awesomely with each level, she can sustain Blood rage life degeneration easily, kills pretty fast, she is almost immune to reflects (You can dodge and reduce reflection damage if you build her properly), utility (mov speed), sustain and survivality (she heals way too much) and damage is more than good. Her main skill, Arrow Split with 4 projectiles, piercing and added cold damage, cost only 21mana.

I bet i can build her to snipe offscreen without fear of reflection.

Witches only have damage, and some cool curses and on-crit effects, but other classes have that too, i never tried but i bet that you can't survive long enough (at least on HC) with only energy shield, because they wouldn't benefit from life flasks at all. Like i said before, they have no sustain (can use only Life Leech) and have huge mana problems.

Really, it makes no sense to me, i play Witches because i like them, they suit my play style, but i know i could be doing x10 better with a Ranger (which i'll try to max in this patch).

IMO, Witches were overnerfed and Mara and Rangers were overbuffed in the last patches.
Why do you think you barely see Witches in HC ladder anymore?

Witches have the only +40% mana regen passive that nobody else can take without wasting tons of points. There is what you want. I don't even know why you whine in the first place.

The facts are facts.... If you don't believe us witches then make one and see for yourself. Witches were way overnerfed in this patch. I owned in 0.9.4
2 level 74 but thie patch 0.9.5@ level 66 with the same setep point wise if not better(minus gear) I do 5500 dps less... I ONLY do 1955 now! (Was 7500) I know Marauder that do 15k... less than 2000 sucks... And what is up with these spells... they nerf some and raise others... why must we play the way they want .. all spells at high level should be great... some more then others (main spells) This game is having an identity crisis! Please fix the ridiculous flask and the witches power. Again... make one if you think its easy... Only 4 witch in top 20!

I made a witch, I cleared act 1 without using flasks (life or mana). I think they've got enough mana, seriously...

I can't speak for high level though.
