What's up my exiles!?
This is the official thread for my tanky beginners Infernal Blow Marauder build. The build is inspired by ZiggyD's old Heavy Metal Marauder build, which was the first build I ever successfully got to maps back in the days.
In this thread I will cover the most basic requirements of the build. To get a more detailed explanation on how the build works and needs to be set up, check out the link to my video-guide above.

First of all, what is this build and who is it suited for?

1. This build is designed for beginners and veterans alike. It is fairly cheap, simple and effective. This build is able to effectively destroy bosses and farm end-game maps.

2. Players who seek a powerful, but simple and easy build to understand and play.

3. Fans of gore, explosion and... more explosions!

4. A build that is both viable for hardcore as well as softcore.

5. People who prefer a build that has a video-guide linked to it.

Build mechanic introduction:

For offense this build relies on the use of 2-handed maces together with Infernal Blow for AoE clear and Heavy Strike for single target damage.

The defense of the build lies in having lots of life, tons of armor and 6 endurance charges running all the time.

Reflect damage is not an issue in general, but I'd recommend avoiding reflect MAPS.

Skill-gems and setups:

- For your main attack you will be using Infernal Blow Melee Splash, Multistrike, Melee Physical Damage, Fortify & Weapon Elemental Damage (6-link).

- For single target damage, I recommend: Earthquake, Melee Physical Damage, Fortify, Less Duration, Concentrated Effect & Weapon Elemental Damage (5-link).

- For mana/life leech and generating endurance charges: Warlord's Mark & Blasphemy (2-link). For the remaining 2 sockets add in Vaal Haste & Hatred.

- For extra mobility you should use: Leap Slam, Faster Attacks, Vengance & Blood Magic.

- For extra defences and Utility: CWDT (level 9), Chaos/Flame Golem, Molten Shell & Blood Rage.

Note: Make sure to level the remaining gems accordingly so that CWDT can support them.

I accidentally wrote "evasion" instead of armor as suggested affix for rare gear in the video. Ignore this please. Armor is what you want on your gear, not evasion!

Just curious, so why are the 30+ int and dex part of the final build, and is skull cracking not an efficient damage node?

If you get enough intelligence and dexterity on your gear, then you should of course spec out of them, however even with gear, the attribute requirements can be hard to reach, so that is why I left them in.

Skull cracking is decent, and you should pick it up if you go above the 112 points, but until then it remains inefficient compared to what else we pick up.

Another fine build from LNB. I read you rip'd on your HC infernal blow so I figure you've put some decent time on it. How would you say this compares to your cyclone marauder? The clear speed might be slower but the damage looks like it compensates for sure.

Thanks bro!

Both skills are absolutely fantastic when it comes to clear speed. Cyclone will probably with good gear perform a little faster in tier 10+ maps, however it is not something Infernal Blow should have any issues with by itself =)

Heya, What about using added chaos dmg instead of fire? isnt it more powerful ? or are you using fire due to str requirement ?

Added fire is much more effective for physical skills as it works as a multiplier, whereas added chaos simply adds a flat non-scaleable (for this build) damage =)
