[2.3.0] Bauer's "Son of Kaom" Oro's Sacrifice and Infernal Blow build (SC, endgame & Atziri viable)

Whirling blades/fortify would also work. But I find whirling blades to be really annoying, and it can't jump over gaps.

I'm gonna try some of these ideas on a shadow with Trickster using dodge for defense. Will report back with results. Love the idea of using infernal blow.

Leap Slam and Fortify worked wonders, I loved it. Already updated the post to include it, with credits to you and Werynn.

Hey MrVBauer

Im kinda new to the game, but im going after your build and i love it, realy fun and alot of damage and tankyness with a player that runs auras, just have a question about Passive Jewel Sockets since haven't linked any.

What should i go for Passive Jewel Sockets?
Is it any nessesary since you haven't linked any?

Althought I haven't linked any, they are very, very useful. I go out of my way on the passive tree just to get one or two extra jewels slots, and they are totaly worth it. I'll update the build for 2.2 this weekend and include instructions for jewels.

What you should look for in jewels is things like extra damage, extra fire damage, more life and attack speed. There are many other modifiers that can help the build out, there's pretty much no way to go wrong with jewels.

Oh, and I don't use any unique jewels, as I've never seen one that could be worth the slot. Not even Fireborn is a good option, if you think it through. Feel free to add me and ask me questions ingame in case you have any.
Hey man. Thanks for the build. I probably won't use it because I'm poor af, but I'm learning a lot. Do you think the tree would work with flicker, instead of IB?

Maybe, with some minor changes here and there. I would love to see someone try and give us some feedback on how it went!
Hello my friend
I'd like to switch from my Duelist Cycloner skill tree to your build using regrets orbs.
Before I start I just wanted to ask if it is worth and how many ~ regrets it'll take, also whats the tooltip DPS around lvl 85?

It wouldn't take that many regrets, from what I can see. Your skill tree follows kind of the same path as mine. I would guess 30-40 regrets. And no, I don't think it's worth it. Better to level a marauder from the start (it should take less than a week to reach 80) and save all that currency.

Around level 85, my DPS was sitting around 10k. That was a long time ago and I was trying out other skills. Nowadays, I would guess that you can get to 85 already dishing out 25-35k damage with this build.
Sorry to break it to you but I have a lvl 84 chieftain made for oro's IB. I switched to slayer (duelist) and it is just so much better. The fire nodes don't really do that much for us compared to the slayers damage bonuses (not physical damage, just damage). Don't be fooled by the chieftain 10% fire pen. If you don't believe me google it. There is proof that the duelist is better. And I can really vouch for it. You will notice an insane difference in damage.

I'm very much aware of that. I've actually talked about this in the build's introduction. Not only this build is not by any means optimal, given that what you can achieve with it can also be done in a ton of other ways, but it is also very expensive and time consuming. There are at least 50 builds posted here in the forums that give us better and easier ways of soloing endgame content with no need of expensive gear or high level.

I've been reusing this same Marauder of mine for at least 3 years now with different builds with almost every passive tree reset. A lot has happened since then. The passive skill tree changed a million times. Once upon a time, the Marauder used to be the best option for this build. Now, it is not.

I would love to see the stats on your slayer duelist so we can compare stuff and see whats better. Although I believe you can reach a higher damage output (damage has always been a problem for me), I have my concerns regarding life, armor and overall survivability on the duelist side of the tree. Post your passive tree here or, even better, start a new thread on the duelist forum and link it here to us!
