Trying to decide between crit dagger or crit sword southpaw for the late game, whats everyones opinions on the the best choice?

I'd assume crit dagger would be the highest damage but I've never tried swords to test.

Cheers

Mike

I have had conversations with a few friends, and many say swords CAN be better, im not sure given the new tree and dagger nodes though, and have never used a sword with this build myself. I have seen most people in 2.1 go dagger without a doubt. Loath Bane preferred for atk spd if afforded.

Thank you for your response, I'm currently playing the new league. Since I'm in a new league and we don't have access (Yet) to these high tier mirrored items, what would produce the most damage on paper just based on the passives?

I think the reason we are seeing so many Bino's builds is because its so tough to beat the price to performance ratio. Plus the majority of builds lacking acuity's in the league gives binos a stong advantage in terms of the life regen as well. Most people want BLood rage and we now have some strong regen nodes available to counteract that so I sont see many people taking vaal pact. If your asking me, and I may start a char in the new league soon, id go dagger and more specifically binos. Until you find or craft somethig much much better. As far as the passives alone go, i havnt done that research so im not sure. Try using poe builder if you havnt yet? Its amazing.

On mobile sorry for any typos

So is this build recommended for a beginner or not?

I want something that can be played with little currency and scales well as I get better items.

Currently deciding between your build and this one: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1301888/page/1

Also, what direction would you go if you started as a Duelist?

Thanks man, very well written guide!
Will be updating the thread tonight and answering questions! Just hit lvl 96 and I can breathe again :)
In the meantime here is a youtube vid I just uploaded of me easily killing Piety in Shrine after leveling up to 96! Takes about 2.2 seconds.

Your Spectral Throw, when watching the vids/ gameplay, its almost always flying off the screen. Mine goes about 20 feet..am I missing something here or?

Spec throw > faster proj > pcoc > gmp

Once they hit level 20 use the gcp recipe and make them 20%, im sure the quality helps. The distance was improved using faster proj! Also, the distance is great for knowing where you enemy is off screen as you get a feel for distance and where the enemy is.

Tracking the gems that go in and all. Guess I just play and wait for them to get to 20 and flip em.
First of all thanks for this guide FortyFive, atm i'm trying to gatering the gear do this build, but i'm would like to have a leveling tree (20, 40, 80 , 100 something like this), this sure would help me a lot!

Thanks !
I've been playing this build for the past few weeks and it is awesome! Just wanted to thank you for putting the guide together, build is a blast to play and I've progressed through maps much higher with this build than any others that I have previously tried. Thanks again
