Pierce affects Phase II of Lightning Arrow allowing you to "hit additional enemies" multiple times with each arrow, creating pseudo AOE. Also a More multiplier where Chain is a Less multiplier. Not that Tooltip means shit, but for those who live and die by it. That's the actual reason IMO to use Pierce over Chain.

At least have actual game knowledge before you copy paste a top ladder player's setup and just use it. Instead of saying really arrogant shit like "I'm addicted to DPS," if you do claim to be the "Best Guide," I would at least expect some super basic mechanics explanation.

Btw, nice tree changes. So much for being "too tanky" to not take Acro/Phase Acro. Still horribly inefficient to go to Scion the way you are, but I'm sure you're stuck on that. You'll see it at some point I'm sure. Shocking that the Decoy Totem magically appeared after your click bait Uber (Lab) video.

Click bait uber lab? but i get that if you like the chain better then go ahead, im one shoting mobs at t13 with two person group, and chain has its own use and pierce has its own also. i like pierce because of lioneyes and drill neck. and the scion life is there because of my chest, its give me enough str for it. And yeah, this guide is to help new and mid players not veterans LA player like you.

Like you have to admit that you have to start somewhere to master LA, this guide will help you get there, and after awhile you will start to discover your own tree and stuff. Its a guide for people who wants to use LA and its a great guide at that. I want to say now that it will kill Uber but i will try him tomorrow and record a video so we'll see there then.

As another "Veteran La" player i must agree with Saranghaeyo_

tooltip dps mostly means shit, i had 120k la (~160fullbuffed) la archer with chain 2 leagues ago but it was shit cos it was dying to reflect (1 shooting myself due to absurdly high dps because it was phys bow fully converted to lightning)
and now with voltaxic and "only 60k" my gameplay feels much smoother.

i really dont like armor you use, it provides almost nothing in terms of survivability - armor only helps vs small hits (unless you can raise it to very high lvls) ur tree doesnt have much which buffs armor + acro cuts it by half.
thats why going kintsugi//qotf would help you survive much more, and dps aint problem with voltaxic since its not that hard to get setup which oneshoots packs (thats key aspect of voltaxic - chaos damage which monsters have low resistance), thats why your armor is almost useless for smooth voltaxic build,sure it boosts your dps but at high tier maps surviving is problem, not dps. thats why reliable defense mechanic is needed

also you use blood rage, but dont have any charges in tree, thats 12% MORE damage and 12% ias wasted, and as dps oriented person its strange you omit that,
and you can link regular frenzy gem with coh + am. that way you can generate frenzy vs tough bossess + curse them with assassins mark at same time (my setup is frenzy + coh + am + hot)

as for arrow dancing im not quite sure if its worth taking, but im raider with avatar of onslaught + qotf + jade = 30k+ eva + dodge so im already almost never hit

i see what you guys are saying, but for now i like the set up i have, t13 seriously feels like t5, i will probably start a playlist with red maps for people to see. but again thank you both for the comments, i will keep that in mind but for now this is what im going with and will make it work in the end of the league, for me its mostly on how to make this build work than just drop pierce all at once. i really wanted to focus the build on the lioneyes chest. so we'll just see how it goes, im trying to reach lvl 100 this league. so just grinding like crazy.

What new changes? the thing they are talking about is pierce over chain, and this build is focus on 100% pierce and drillneck, there's really no change in leveling it will still be the same, the only thing you need to change is to find a chest that has more evasion for boss fights, but for map clearing, lioneyes is still the best choice. That one guys am sure never even played pierce build and have not tried how easy higher Tier maps are in, i will start to put a RED TIER video map section just so people can see the play style and its clearing speed and its defensive feel while playing high end maps.

Anyways, the build they are talking about is a chain lightning arrow build which is completely different from a PIERCE LA build, its almost the same tree but the mechanics are different. For example, with chain, you wont get a 7 link LA. For chain, people need to get the enchantment , but pierce would benefit more on getting the enchantment .

and if you watch my video two weeks before the league, i have decided to build a pierce LA, not a chain. Which people seem to not know.

At "people have never used Lioneye's" on LA.

Both from last temp league, done for testing purposes. It was okay. Low level Pierce has lower More Damage modifier and pretty mediocre defenses. It's fine, but you get 50% less Armour from it so it's basically just a chest with some life and a "6 and a half" link. Compare to Eva chest, compare to Coil/Kintsugi, compare to Kaom's Heart.

tl;dr You have someone here who is asking for legitimate help, and you went on some shitty tangent about an irrelevant detail.

Your leveling trees are awful and they don't align with your current tree at all. They are also done in a very odd manner where you aren't focusing on getting Life and some raw damage nodes early, instead you decide to waste multiple points to get to Shadow early on (why?!) instead of focusing on Ranger > Duelist areas, which is where you should be, etc. You know, things that a "best guide" should be able to deduce really, really easily.

Give me a break here.

again, the point of the lioneyes is for fast clearing maps. Boss fights you could basically change the chest for evasion chest (QOTF) or life chest (Kaoms). I will add this on gearing section and put an explaination. If you really want to go in depth with everything, i will put t on a section here, but lets be real here, you ever try explaining statics and mechanics to a kid who just started playing? obviously wont work. if i wanted to do that i could have just put up my gear and my tree and let them figure it our by themselves.

The leveling tree is there to guide the players, and it helps a lot of them. obviously always someone out of 60 thousand people looking at the guide will think its not the best leveling tree. But IMO that is the best, you think its not and that makes you right? well your opinion is welcome, and if you want to make a leveling tree i will welcome it and put it in the guide <3. Dont worry ill give the shout out to u, and i will put a more detailed end game guide for them, explaining the benefits of QOTF, KAOMS, LIONEYES. You are right im DPS addict, and ur evasion addict, our opinion is different but that doesnt make me wrong and doesnt make you right.

SO in summary i will add the explaination for each item for mid level players to understand the pros and cons of ea chest. and ofcourse the tree that goes well with all three.

And i like the play style of the lioneyes 7 link when clearing maps, im trying to reach 100 this league so clear speed is important, and please dont say that you die quick with out evasion because you really dont when you have 5k health and one shooting almost every boss. mobility and play style is key i dont just stand there and shoot, when hard monsters come i throw totems, you survive base on play style. well i do at least.

and he was also asking a leveling tree base on chain build, which my build is not base on so that is why i said that you guys are talking about the chain leveling tree which my build is not base on, but yeah, if you would like to send that guy a leveling tree for a chain build then go ahead <3.

The decoy totem is there because yes I found out that it helps for uber fight. I tested it, it works and that's why it's there. Content will be added in the guide as i test stuff.
